    Sicily weather February

What’s the weather like in Sicily in February?

As the most southerly region of Italy, the island of Sicily is located in beautiful Mediterranean waters. February may be Sicily’s coldest month, but the island still enjoys lovely mild weather even in the winter months. With plenty of sunshine and warm but occasionally brisk temperatures, you’ll need light layers to stay comfortable in the coldest parts of the day. Although the temperatures aren’t beach-worthy in February, it’s a great time of year to explore the island with its beautiful cities and stunning countryside.

On an average February day temperatures are around 9°C, reaching 12°C at the hottest part of the day, with lows of 5°C at night. With chilly evenings, make sure you pack warm clothes when you go out for food and drinks after sundown. At this time of year the sea temperature is around 15°C, so you’ll need to be brave if you go in for a dip, and rainfall averages at 40mm across the month. There are over ten hours of daylight each day, with eight hours of sunshine on average.
