What's the weather like in India in February?

December to March is India’s high season, with beautifully warm temperatures, cooler nights, and sunny days. In February India is hot but not unbearable, so if you want to make the most of this fascinating country, from the idyllic beaches to the vibrant cities, this is a great month to visit. For the warmest weather, go to India towards the end of February, when temperatures are slightly higher.

Averages

In Goa on the southwestern coast, the weather’s warm but not too hot with an average temperature of 25°C and highs of 30°C in the peak of the afternoon. At night, temperatures cool right down to a low of 19°C, perfect for evenings out. Further inland in New Delhi, temperatures are much cooler with an average of 17°C, highs of 23°C and lows of a chilly 11°C. As for wet weather, Goa expects less than 1mm of rain in February while New Delhi is forecast 20mm. For swimming and snorkelling, the seas are a warm 28°C at this time of year.
