    Canada weather August

What’s the weather like in Canada in August?

Canada is a vast country, measuring over 3,000 miles from coast to coast. With such a big land mass, the weather varies depending on where you visit in August so it’s worth doing plenty of research before you book a holiday. In Vancouver temperatures are mild at this time of year, while Toronto also has good weather with warm sunshine and only a few scattered showers. In August, the winter ski resort of Banff is also mild and sunny.

In August, Vancouver has an average temperature of a mild 18°C, with highs of 22°C and lows of 14°C. On the opposite side of the country, Toronto is slightly warmer with an average temperature of 21°C, highs of 24°C and lows of 17°C after dark. Both Vancouver and Toronto expect just 50mm of rain at this time of year, so August is a relatively dry month in Canada. If you’re visiting Banff this month, you’ll be greeted by long, sunny days with average temperatures of 21°C and lows of a chilly 7°C at night.
