“Ho hum”

Special occasion weekend. Used a boatload of points for the weekend. If I had to do that over again I wouldn't. Hotel room was mediocre--clean, sort of--not what I expect from Ritz Carlton. Some mold/mildew on shower door and tile. Shower smaller than showers I've had on cruises. Very tight space. We certainly did not get an upgraded or renovated room and we do have some status with Marriott. I've heard using points does not get you the best--don't know if that's true. Common areas were comfortable and well-serviced. Reception staff were OK. Restaurant was OK. That's kind of how it went--very ho hum. Room condition and cleanliness are tops for me and that's where I left thinking well, I could have done better for what I paid--even in points.

“Solid Ritz Experience”

Was underwhelmed with welcome (very perfunctory), but it quickly improved from there. Aside from check-in desk, every other staff member i interacted with was excellent. Overnight shoe shine, room service, housekeeping - all top notch. While not cheap, the food was also excellent. Was in Room 317 - not a great location as there is a giant exhaust fan outside the balcony that runs 24/7, but the quality of the room furnishings (especially the great bed) more than made up for the room location. Would definitely stay here again.

“Beautiful Property”

Really nice hard product - one of the nicer Ritz Carlton properties I've been to in the US. Check in was friendly though the gentleman forgot to send up the dental kits requested. Breakfast options at the small coffee store were pretty darn good for a to go place, I thought prices were reasonable, and it was nice being able to take purchases to an extended lobby area to sit down and enjoy them. Room was a good size with balcony overlooking the driveway up to the main entrance. No discernible upgrade for Platinum Bonvoy status. Really enjoyed the spa experience though I had a number of difficulties trying to make my bookings and ended up having to call around five times to get the treatments sorted/confirmed with one woman getting pointedly rude when I was stuck having to start the re-booking process over again because her colleague had booked us in for the wrong dates after my first call and unsympathetic when the barber services I wanted weren't available for the correct day. Not sold out, just no barber is available at all for a number of days of the week. I wish that the spa menu clearly stated that the barber services are only available on a limited basis - not at all during our stay on the property which was disappointing. Unfortunately, my DazzleDry manicure started chipping within a week and a half instead of the usual three weeks it lasts me when I get it done at other places. I'm not even two weeks in as I write this and it's chipping badly - avoiding that is the reason I pay more for these particular nail treatments and I'm feeling like this was poor quality/value. On the upside one of the spa front desk staff, I think her name was Melissa (maybe Michelle if I'm wrong on that) was truly gracious, hospitable and helpful.

“Sam the Server is a Superstar”

The hotel is lovely and the service is great. I mean, it's a Ritz-Carlton, so what would you expect. However, my very special experience was that I ate lunch one afternoon at the pool bar and had an AMAZING Southwest Salad - mixed greens, corn, black beans, tomatoes -- with grilled shrimp, and the garlic ranch dressing was so delicious that the server, Sam, who had recommended the salad in the first place, promised to share the recipe when I returned. Unfortunately I checked out a day early to get ahead of a storm, but today, a week later, I got a note from Sam enclosing the garlic-ranch dressing recipe!!! That, my friends, is service. ❤️

This is a massive milestone, and it is easy to see why you are the very first property in Central Florida to earn this ultimate distinction. An honor like this is only possible because of an exceptional team, and I want to personally recognize a few individuals who made our visits truly unforgettable. A special thank you goes to your wonderful Lobby Ambassador Lisa Eastwood who works tirelessly, greeting and meeting guests with what seems like effortless grace. It’s like meeting an old friend. We also spent some incredible time at The Lobby Lounge, where Lorena and Orcun blew us away with their professionalism. Even during peak hours when the resort was packed with conference attendees, they both continuously worked hard without ever missing a beat. They always made sure to give us their time, checking in and talking to us as if we were the only guests there. We all feel like absolute VIPs every single time we visit. Thank you all for executing luxury hospitality at its highest level. Congratulations again on this magnificent and well deserved achievement!
