By dolmus: Dolmuses are handy mini buses that operate throughout many Turkish resorts. They're a cheap and easy way to get between the town, beach or your hotel. You can flag down a dolmus whenever you see one and can get off wherever you like.
By bus: A larger bus service stops outside Konakli for transport into nearby towns. The buses are frequent in the high season and are ideal for taking a day trip to neighbouring resorts like Antalya.
On foot: Konakli is a small town that is easy to navigate on foot. There are no busy roads to cross between the hotel resorts and the beach.
For art lovers: The International Culture and Art Festival is held every May in the town of Alanya, just 20 minutes’ bus ride from Konakli. The festival includes several days of performances, concerts and exhibitions celebrating Turkish traditions and folklore customs.
Jazz festival: Also in Alanya is the International Jazz Festival, which comes to town in late September for a week of events. Jazz fans can enjoy live music in Alanya’s beautiful harbour and experience renowned musicians, bands and singers from all over Turkey to celebrate the end of summer.
