Hiking and cycling is a great way to discover the great outdoors surrounding the resort. Kemer lies on the Lycian Way walking trail, which winds through the lush green landscapes.

By dolmus: You’ll find dolmus minibuses across many Turkish resorts. They’re frequent and reliable, tickets are cheap, and you can hop on and off as you like. There are no fixed stops, though, so make sure the driver knows where you want to go.
By bus: If you want to travel further afield, there’s a regional bus service that runs through the centre en route to other resorts and the city of Antalya.
By taxi: There are lots of taxis dotted around the resort, and they’re a good option for short journeys. Most run on a meter, with different rates for day and night. It’s worth asking for an estimated price at your hotel beforehand.
For film buffs: Visit in October and you could rub shoulders with the rich and famous. Around an hour’s drive outside Kemer, Antalya hosts the world-famous International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, a week-long event of film screenings and awards.
For jazz lovers: Every July, Antalya Jazz Festival runs in the beautifully preserved Aspendos Roman theatre. This 20,000-seat venue is known for its incredible acoustics, and welcomes acclaimed jazz musicians and orchestras from all over the world.

Best time to visit: April and May for slightly cooler temperatures.
The weather here is pretty typical of Turkey’s climate; summers are long and hot temperatures push the mercury up between July and September. It starts rising into the mid-20s°C from April, reaching up to 30°C and over by July. You’ll also enjoy up to 12 hours of sunshine a day, which is perfect for topping up your tan. If you like it cooler, choose Kemer holidays, when temperatures hover in the mid to high-20s. Even in winter, it sticks between 15 and 20°C, so no need to pack a woolly jumper. Expect a bit more rain at this time of year, though.
