H10 Casanova is housed in a refurbished 18th century building, in Barcelona’s trendy Eixample district. The area is packed with stylish boutiques, bars and restaurants. But you can escape the hustle and bustle of the streets below, with a visit to the eighth floor Sky Bar Terrace (closed during winter). Here, you can take a plunge in the swimming pool or relax on a sunlounger with a drink from the bar.

The despacio spa centre is also housed on the eighth floor. This is where you can disconnect, while pampering your body and mind. The facilities include a Vichy shower, a steam bath and a Jacuzzi®. There’s also the option of booking a massage or treatment. And if your muscles don’t get enough of a workout from sightseeing, there’s also a fully equipped gym.

All rooms are furnished with modern, functional décor. Doubles have either one Queen sized or two single beds. Upgrade to a Deluxe for a larger room and your own Nespresso® machine. Superiors have King sized beds, while Suites have a sofa that converts into an additional bed, perfect for families with young children. Upgrading to a Suite also has the benefit of an additional toilet, plus an iHome device.

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the Mediterrani Restaurant. Later on, if you don’t fancy going out to eat, you can devour some tapas alongside a glass of wine at Ona Lounge. There’s no shortage of things to do, either during the day or in the evening. The nearby Metro stops allow easy access to everywhere from Barceloneta Beach to Plaça d'Espanya. So whether you want to sunbathe on a sandy stretch, stroll around the open-air Poble Espanyol museum, see a performance or admire the work of Gaudi, it’s just a short journey from H10 Casanova.

As the hotel provides the ideal environment for a longer stay you may also wish to consider a day trip to the imposing Montserrat Mountain and its impressive Benedictine Abbey. Alternatively, there’s Tarragona with its stunning Roman aqueduct and you can’t forget the beautiful medieval city of Girona (a filming location for Game of Thrones).
