Butterfly Park Of Benalmadena

Visit the largest butterfly park in Europe, Mariposario de Benalmadena, housed in a quaint Thai temple. Walk in and be welcomed by a warm tropical setting with green plants, wild flowers, cascading waterfalls and more than 1,500 exotic butterflies. Wander through the brightly coloured foliage and see the variety of flowers like orchids, bromeliads and others that are rich in nectar. Interestingly, the park doesn't use any artificial pest repellent as it affects the butterflies, so instead they use plants that naturally control the environment.

Learn about the magnificent fluttering species as you see the insects live and breed in the park. Watch their entire reproduction cycle from caterpillar to chrysalis and the hatching of new butterflies. There's plenty of wildlife to see, as the exotic temperatures of the park are also great conditions for the resident wallaby and reptiles.
