Pestana Viking is a clifftop hotel in Porches-Armação de Pêra. The hotel has grand, exotic gardens on 3 sides. Palm trees and green grass lead the way from the hotel to the nearby Senhora da Rocha beach. Amenities include a kids club and an outdoor swimming pool. Don’t miss the spectacular cliffs, caves and rock formations along the coast at Porches-Armação de Pêra. The best views of these incredible formations can be seen on a boat trip, which departs from Praia dos Pescadores (Fisherman’s beach).

Another famous attraction is in neighbouring Alcantarilha, just 5 minutes drive away. On the traditional Portuguese streets of the town, you’ll find the 16th century Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. Next to the church you’ll find a small chapel, known as the Bones Chapel. Be warned it is not for the faint hearted – the interior is covered by more than 1500 human bones!
