Iberostar Founty Beach

Iberostar Founty Beach is an All Inclusive hotel on Morocco's west coast, right on the seafront in the popular beach resort of Agadir. The hotel has a number of sporting activities on offer, as well as a spa, so you can choose how active or low-key your holiday is. There are three outdoor pools at Iberostar Founty Beach, including a shallower one for kids. The biggest pool is heated during the cooler months, so you can enjoy a dip all year round. There's also an indoor pool. If you fancy working out, you can visit the hotel's gym. There are various fitness classes on offer, such as aerobics and aqua aerobics, and you can play beach volleyball, football, basketball, darts, tennis and squash. In summer you can also take part in motorised sports like jet skiing. When you want to unwind, you might like to visit the Turkish bath, take a sauna or book yourself in for a spa treatment. To keep you amused, the hotel provides daily entertainment, including shows that are suitable for the whole family to enjoy. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at Iberostar Founty Beach's buffet restaurant. If you fancy having a lie-in, a late breakfast is also available. The a la carte restaurant serves dinner. When you're peckish between meals, you can grab a bite to eat at the snack bar throughout the day. Pizza, cake, salads and tea and coffee are all on offer. You can also get drinks throughout the day at the hotel's three bars.

The hotel is 10m away from the beach. Talborjt, the centre of Agadir, is 1km away. You can get there by walking north along the city's lively promenade. Agadir has a wide range of bars and restaurants. You could have a coffee or ice cream near the beach, then wander around the port, park, museum or kasbah, a citadel that dates back to 1541. Agadir also has a number of shops and markets where you can browse for souvenirs. Cars are available to rent at Iberostar Founty Beach for when you want to explore the surrounding area. There's a theme park with rides, karting and amusements that's 11.5km from the hotel. There's also an 18-hole golf course within driving distance if you fancy a round. For a day out the children will love, you could visit the water park in Imi Ouaddar, which you can reach by heading 33km north along the coast.

The buffet restaurant offers seafood specialities and Italian, Spanish and Moroccan cuisine. For children, there's pasta, pizza and chicken nuggets. At the ‡ la carte restaurant, you can enjoy tasting local Moroccan dishes. Bottled water, soft drinks and local beer and wine are served with lunch and dinner.

Iberostar Founty Beach has a kids' club where younger guests can have fun and make new friends. There's also a mini disco for them to enjoy.

All rooms at Iberostar Founty Beach have minibars, high-definition TVs with satellite channels, individually controlled air conditioning and central heating. Cots are available if required.

Horrible Service & Broken AC!

May 2022 | FarAway12906061559

We checked in today, May 16, and within only a few hours it’s been an extremely sub par experience. We just came from 4 night and 5 days at the Iberostar Marrakech which was a 5 out of 5 in terms of service/staff, property, food. The rooms were updated, staff was amazing, property extremely well maintained etc. We were hoping for the same when we got to Agadir. However, the Iberostar Agadir has been a total bust. Reception staff are not helpful, ACs in rooms are not working, you have to pay 30 MAD/night for the in room safe which is also not working so far, even the phones in the room aren’t working! I’ve travelled a lot and been too many properties and I’m not to one to write a terrible review without merit. What gets me the most is that the staff seem unwilling to help for any these issues. DEAR MANAGEMENT we’re here for 3 more nights and so I’m giving you an opportunity to respond (not a generic sorry but address our issues) and I’m hoping to update this review with a more positive outlook.

Good but not brilliant

First impressions we were happy with the hotel it was clean and had everything we required. I have listed each item below and given reasons as to positive or negative. Rooms- beds were typical as in 2 singles pushed together. They were comfortable and more than satisfactory. There was a good size wardrobe, fridge, drawers, a sofa and balcony. The bathroom was fine although only had a walk in shower which was more than adequate. There was a safe in the room that was chargeable if you wanted to use it. Food- we found the food to be really quite good. Plenty of choice with freshly cooked stations on every sitting. I had a freshly made omelette each morning. The snack bar serves different things at lunchtime to the main restaurant so worth checking before walking to the restaurant for lunch. They could have probably given more of a selection of ice creams on for people but it didn’t affect us. Please please do not waste your time at the A la carte restaurant unless they have completely changed it. This was awful the reception didn’t tell us the menu and we along with 3 other couple on the night we were there walked out. We also spoke to others that had the same and also walked out previously. Pools- the small pool was considerably warmer than the big pool although deeper. Enjoyed them all the same and nice and clean. Staff- generally a good experience and helpful. My biggest advice would be to tip them and be polite. The 3 members of staff we got good service from we tipped and the service got even better so my advice would be too the staff if you want better service. We didn’t tip lots (20 dirham each person twice) but it made a definite difference. Gym- it was ok and I don’t tend to even bother but I wake early so used it but it is not what it looks like in the pictures. There were 3 bikes, 2 didn’t really work but you could use them, 2 cross trainers and a few free weights. It was usable but barely. Entertainment- the day time entertainment was ok and you didnt get harassed. The music was a bit random at times but it wasn’t booming so you could get peace if you wanted it. The evening entertainment we tried twice and both times lasted less than 5 minutes as it was shockingly poor. Just our opinion but make up your own. Overall we were happy with our stay and would advise people that the place is clean, food good and you should enjoy your stay. Would we go back? No but then we don’t tend to go anywhere twice.

Best hotel in Agadir!

May 2022 | SamanthaPtrs

In May 2022 we traveled again to Iberostar Founty Beach. I only have positive points for this hotel. The crew at the reception is very polite and helpful. The food is outstanding, everyday there is enough choice and it’s delicious. Also the staff in the restaurant is very good. The animation team did everyday their very best to entertain the guests! Big thumbs up for all of them: Amin, Othman, Sakobi, Najat, Nahela, Younes, Black & Ali! The shows at night became a bit boring after a while because it was every night a danceshow, after talking with some other clients they also agreed to miss to see the animation bringing their own shows. It would be nice to see some change time to time. The parties the hotel used to give in the past should really come back, the White Party at the Poolbar at night was always amazing. We missed that. Further everything was splendid like always, the rooms were very clean and the stay was marvellous.
