“Overrated, 2/1/2 stars, poor choice for single female traveler, not recommended”
As my title suggests I found the Palais to be overrated, and a poor choice for a single female traveler. For whatever reason I was assigned a room in the annex where there are no personnel stationed. The main doors which work by your room key remain open long after you enter . To go to breakfast you have to go outside into the main building no matter the weather. In addition there are no deadbolt locks or chains on the room door. I realize that Valetta is a low crime area but considering you are pretty much all alone in the annex it doesn't really feel that secure. I stayed two nights and on the second afternoon I decided to make a cup of tea. The teacups were stacked two on top of two saucers. I took the top cup in which to brew my tea but was shocked when I pulled out the bottom saucer to find what appeared to be cake crumbs on the saucer from someone else's previous use. On the plus side the room was quiet , the bedding comfortable and the breakfast did offer good ample choices.

“Beautiful Hotel”
Would highly recommend this hotel. It’s in a very historic building and in great location. The staff are so friendly especially Mary who looked after us so well at breakfast each morning. The rooftop bar and pool were so nice and a great place to relax after exploring Valletta. Our room was spacious and spotless just like the rest of the hotel. The staff take pride in the hotel and it shows.

“Better to stay elsewhere in Valletta”
There are better places to stay in Valletta. While staying at Palais Le Brun in October 2026, the cleaning staff damaged my clothing in the room. When i brought this up to the hotel upon finding the damage, not only did they not compensate me for the damage, they were flat out hostile to deal with…the Manager Raia in particular. AMEX got involved and stated they have never had such a bad encounter with a hotel and were “shocked” at their discussion with them as well. The most basic service a hotel needs to provide is that you feel safe in your room and that your personal items are protected as well…Palais Le Brun does not meet this standard. Valletta is a beautiful place with lots of great hotel options to choose from, I would recommend staying elsewhere for an enjoyable experience

“Great stay with awesome location and view”
So happy we chose to stay here for our anniversary. The location, room and staff were amazing. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a room with a beautiful view for our terrace that had a 2 person hot tub. I didn't even know they had this type of room so we were very excited to have this bonus luxury. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the roof top pool and bar were visited daily after long walks around town. I would highly recommend Palais Le Brun.
