Spend a day at Maronti Beach and look forward to relaxing in the warm Mediterranean sunshine and splashing around in the crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The beach is on the south coast of Ischia, and it's easy to get to from Ischia Porto.
If you have a car then it's around 20 minutes to Maronti Beach, while there are regular buses from Ischia Porto. As you snake down the hill that overlooks the bay from the east, you'll have stunning views down over Maronti Beach and out across the Tyrrhenian Sea.
As you excitedly get out of your car or off the bus, step down onto the beach and pick a sun lounger for the day. Or lay down on top of your towel in the sand and open a good book. If you want to make the most of the cool sea breeze, try to get a spot close to the water's edge.
When it's time to cool off, go for a dip in the sparkling blue sea. The water can get deep quite quickly, so keep a close eye on your little ones if they go off for a splash.
If you get hungry, have a picnic in the sand or head to the back of the beach where you'll find a selection of cafes and restaurants. After your visit to Maronti Beach, head a little further west around the coast to the Baia di Sorgeto and bathe in the warm waters of the lovely rock pools.
Then head back to Ischia Porto to see the sunset at Castello Aragonese.
