The Mansion Resort Hotel & Spa
This boutique resort hotel is located in the suburbs of Bali, in the artist community of Penestanan on the Sayan Ridge Island and was established in 2015. It is close to the Ubud Palace, only a few minutes drive. The resort is situated around 40 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The resort offers 150 rooms, set among beautiful courtyard and tropical lush green park. Each room is unique and luxurious docorated in contemporary Balinese style, equipped with all convenient amenities that guests need during the stay. In-room amenities include minibar, hairdryer, safe, ironing set, air conditioning and etc. The resort features multiple outdoor swimming pools and the wonderful hot tub. Guests can enjoy a variety of treatments at the spa centre where to indulge into a trust essence of 5 elements. The resort also offers restaurants and bars with different selections of food and flavours. Guests can try the unique combination of Vietnamese and French nouvelle cuisine plus an international menu at the terrace cafe.

“Very Rundown and in need of TLC”

Unfortunately, the advertisement for this Hotel is completely outdated and false. The whole resort is very rundown and has not been maintained for many years. The rooms are cleaned daily and are of a reasonable standard. However, no shower privacy, as this was in the main room, with just a net curtain around. No door on toilet room, so again no privacy. The atmosphere is very quiet. Drinks are a little more expensive than the bars outside, although, there are not many within walking distance. Staff are very hit and miss with friendliness. We would not return to this hotel!

“This hotel in serious need of some tender loving care”

This hotel could be so much more. On the surface it looks beautiful and tranquil but it is in need of some serious repair. The wood around the pool terrace was rotten. So much so that one member of our party put his foot through. Tiles missing in the pools. Dead fish in the ponds. Loose paving. The list is endless. As a group of 6 we did not book this as a retreat, but that's what it is. Unless you come here on an organised retreat tour they do not cater for you. We were not given the opportunity to attend any of the yoga and wellbeing sessions. When we ordered a drink at the bar staff looked down thier noses at us. Drinks were always warm. The rooms were lovely and clean and the location is a good base for exploring but I will not be returning.

“Great find and respite from the manic Ubud”

Really love this place. If want a sterile place in the heart of Ubud, this is not the place for you. However if you want a interesting, large and and unique, this is ideal. Just remember you are in the middle of a rain forest, but the ability to lay by a pool (there are a number) and not hear traffic is sublime. You can understand what a number of yoga classes use this place. The rooms (we had a high end and a low end) were both excellent, with a number of small but unique takes., with excellent staff and actually a really nice restaurant. Only issue it that it's a bit outside Ubud, but seeing what that place is like, it's lovely to come back to this different and exception place. Taxi's are around £4 per ride and there is a drop off service, but you will likely need a taxi back.

“Do not recommend”

Don’t waste your money or time. Place mostly caters to yoga classes/groups but I’m not even sure why they even go as it’s not clean, ants in room, breakfast poor.

“Creepy abandoned hotel…….”

Where do I start…..this hotel needs a lot of TLC. It has lots of potential but sadly it lacks so much care. Feels abandoned and kinda creepy. Pools are not even proper to swim in. I would not stay here again. Breakfast is again very underwhelming and lacks any effort from the hotel. Would not recommend anyone to stay here unfortunately! Pick another hotel if you want a comfortable clean and enjoyable stay
