Originally an apothecary, Skjaldbreið occupies one of the city's most impressive buildings. It was our first hotel and it still can't be beaten for charm. Small in size with only 33 rooms, the hotel makes every guest feel like family. Right in the middle of the city's main street, the location also makes Skjaldbreið a tough one to top.

All 33 rooms of Center Hotel Skjaldbreið are simple, spacious and charming. Flooded with natural light, deluxe rooms overlook all the action of Laugavegur. All rooms come with TV, shower, mini-bar, and free wifi.
