Hire a car and explore Rhodes

There's so much to see and do on the island of Rhodes that the best way to do this is by hiring a car. All the biggest and busiest resorts are on the east coast, but with a car you're able to escape the crowds and find undiscovered corners and hidden gems amongst the Mediterranean landscape.

On the west coast of Rhodes you'll find lesser-known towns and villages that are well worth exploring in order to get a taste of authentic Greece at its best. The mountain village of Embonas is a great place to visit, where you can sample some of the excellent local produce or indulge in a bit of wine tasting ” just a taste, mind you.

Then there's Monolithos with its impressive medieval castle nestled amongst the pine trees where you can take in the fabulous views from the top.
