Akti Imperial Deluxe & Spa Resort

If you love sun, food and entertainment, then a stay at Akti Imperial Deluxe Spa Resort has your name on it. Located a stone’s throw from Paralia Ixia beach on the Greek island of Rhodes, this family-friendly hotel boasts eight restaurants, a 7D cinema, escape rooms, a snail pool, spa treatments and a fully equipped fitness centre.

Whatever the time is, there’s always mouthwatering food being served at Akti Imperial. Epicurus is open at standard meal times, offering delicious Greek and international cuisine buffet style, with seating both inside and out. The two pool restaurants offer hot and cold dishes from 10am to midnight, with lunch shows from midday to 4pm. Expecting to arrive late or someone who likes a midnight feast? ‘Express’ All Night Dining serves hot & cold meals, cheeses, salads, fruits and desserts from 10pm until 6am.

For a formal dining experience, book a table at one of the four themed restaurants. Lucullus offers a Greek menu with dishes including the Aegean speciality of cabbage leaves stuffed with minced beef & rice. Vegetarians have plenty of choice at Marco Polo, ranging from risotto with mushrooms, ravioli stuffed with spinach and gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese. Experience local seafood at Asterias, with octopus, tuna, salmon, cuttlefish and swordfish among the options. The collection is completed with Red Elephant offering pan-Asian dishes like sweet & sour chicken, beef satay and crab wontons.

The Espresso Bar provides yet another place to grab something to eat, offering an express breakfast from 6am to 11am, as well as appetisers and desserts from 11am to midnight. That’s in addition to the range of coffees and cold drinks. The main bar is open until 1am, offering seating both inside and out. While the options by the pools are open from 10am to midnight. The collection is completed with the beach bar open from 10am to 6pm.

Young travellers between 4 and 12 years old can join the mini club. Here, they will enjoy a variety of entertainment, including a disco. Slightly older guests can go along to the teens’ club, while the whole family can experience the thrilling 7D cinema, take part in an escape room challenge, have hours of excitement in the arcade room or break a sweat competing in beach water sports. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s nightly shows, including folklore dancing, live music and cabaret.

Akti Imperial Deluxe Spa Resort doesn’t just offer sports facilities, there’s instructors too. So why not improve your tennis skills or get fit through an organised dance or pilates class? For those who want to avoid working up too much of a sweat, there’s darts, pétanque and daily guided 4km walks along the coast.

With there being so much to do, you may not spend too much time in your room but when you are there, you’ll find a private balcony, a 43” TV with satellite channels, a safe, a minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, high speed WiFi and a separate sofa bed. To wake up to fantastic views, book a sea view upgrade.

History lovers shouldn’t pass on the opportunity to visit the medieval old town of Rhodes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, under 20 minutes’ away by local bus or hire car. Here, the Knights of St John built the first settlement around a small port and expanded it during the 13th century. Today you can see the remains of castles, temples and fortifications. A visit to the Archaeological Museum will help explain the bygone times.

They are all super pleasent people and they make sure you will enjoy your holliday here! Thanks a lot Xavier, Martynas, Dennis, Rio, Victoria and Mai ! We will for sure come back to akti impeial!!! Good holiday slightly disappointed when we returned for 2nd time.

We visited this hotel in 2019 and had a fantastic holiday, it had a relaxed feel about it, branded drinks and wonderful staff. We then booked for our whole family to go back in 2020. Due to covid we returned in 2022. The hotel is spotless, the rooms nice and grounds and beach lovely. However they have dropped most of the branded drinks, and seem to have adopted a no we cant do that attitude. As a group of 13 we could never eat together! They would not move tables, even thou we said we would commit to a certain time. Lunch was the same so we had to split up every time we ate. Not good !! As a family holiday would of been nice to at least eat together at night. Food was very good quality a little repetitive but very nice. The entertainment team approached us only once to buy a tea shirt to enter a party ! We entertained ourselves so declined, the lady was very pushy and we was told whats 10 euros when you have spent so much anyway!!!!! Its to support the team and thats 130 euros to us for something we didn’t want to go to. We found her pushy and sightly aggressive. Overall nice hotel we was just disappointed things had slipped slightly more pros than cons but for us the changes were the things we originally liked about the hotel.

Best holiday we’ve ever had

We’ve just returned from our best ever family holiday at the Akti Imperial. Let’s start with the negatives. The Reception Area is a nightmare. We stayed in the Annex which is amazing but having to fight through the new arrivals every other day that block up the reception area was a pain. Arrivals come in & aren’t managed so they completely block the route through & make no attempt to move to allow current guests movement through. The Pool, all the pools are amazing as is the beach area, there are signs everywhere saying sun loungers are not allowed to be reserved & any towels left for 60 minutes will be removed. This wasn’t the case, to get a sun lounger you have no option but to put your towels down before breakfast, there’s absolutely no chance whatsoever of getting a lounger by the pool after 09:00. I witnessed sun loungers with towels not in use until the afternoon. The management have clearly tried to combat this by adding more loungers but this has only led to overcrowding. Ideally they should have someone managing the pool area, this would allow people to get sun loungers without having to get up early & lay out towels. On to the good. The rooms are spotless & cleaned daily to a very high standard. The hotel itself is immaculate, it’s cleaned constantly, even the communal areas & toilets are immaculate. The hotel staff are all friendly, polite & can’t do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The food selection is fantastic, there are so many options with the main restaurant & other speciality restaurants on site. The food is high quality & enjoyable. The entertainment Team are fantastic & have made some great memories through their personalities & the activities they put on. We will definitely return to Rhodes & wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. We’d thoroughly recommend the Akti Imperial to anyone.
