A great place to relax!

Jan 2022 | Jules L
My husband and I stayed here October 18th -29th 2021. We weren't sure what to expect here but were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Firstly, we have stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels all over the world but what a gem of a place this is. This place has extra Covid -19 cleaning protocols in place it was spotless. Cleaners even cleaned the loos at 11.30pm at night. A sight I've never seen anywhere else. The restaurant has gloves to help with cross-contamination which was excellent. Our room was lovely and although a lot of people say it's not a five star hotel, it's not far off for a Grecian hotel. Our room was throughly cleaned everyday the staff can't do enough for you and they are all very professional and friendly, with one exception and this was the Masseuse, which may be an outside company. This lady was always touting for business. As an Holistic Therapist myself I asked how much a massage was and she said "130.00 Euros for 2 " I said "Is this a joke"? to which she replied in a condescending manner "This is 5 star so you pay 5star prices" I do not recommend this company at all. I had a fabulous 30 mins one on the beach for 40 Euros well worth the cost. The food here was some of the best I've ever tasted, especially the home made Potato and Leek soup. There's always something to eat here, even picky eaters won't go hungry. The Fish Restaurant is well worth a visit whilst your'e there so make sure you book when you arrive as you can only visit once. It's a great fine dining experience. The beach although pebbly is fine if you take beach shoes and there's a great variety of fish there it's so clear and the weather was perfect for this time of year. After Covid this was the perfect place to go to relax, unwind and de-stress. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Stay at Akti

We recently stayed at Akti on our trip to Kos, and in a nutshell, as a family, we loved it entirely. Not only was the actual property very good for the price we got it, but the activities and entertainment were amazing. Our kids (15 and 8) had a great time despite having a fairly big age gap. Finally, the cherry on top was the staff - every staff member was fabulous, especially in the restaurant. The chef, Ayman and the restaurant manager were amazing with my younger daughter’s allergies. We would highly recommend staying here.

Akiti beach hotel Kos

First visit to Kos. The hotel has all the covid measures in place, not everyone follows them but the hotel tries. All staff are helpful and friendly. Grounds are well maintained. The use of plastic gloves in the restaurant is a good idea, allows you to still help yourself. Can't fault the choice at breakfast, lunch and evening meal. Not so great for coeliacs but they did try to accommodate the best they could. 7-8pm is the busiest. Pool towels provided, water is freezing in the pools. Plenty of pools to choose from. Maids clean daily. The hotel class themselves as 5 stars, I wouldn't. The towels have seen better days, some sheets have holes. The bath overflow was poorly sealed, had a crack in the bath. Kardamena is a 50 minute walk away. There is a free bus, not that frequent. Restricted to on site in the evenings, to dark to take a walk around the area without street lighting. Kos town is 30 minutes by bus. Shop on site or near the beach. €20 deposit for a kettle per week. You need to get supplies from the restaurant and take to your room. You can book PCR or Antigen tests with reception. You can also book them in Kardamena.
