Acqua Plus Water Park Greece

Whether you're looking for a fun experience with your family, or an action-packed day out with friends, pay a visit to Acqua Plus Water Park.

Just inland from the coastline of Hersonissos, the park's ideal for getting an adrenaline fix or just relaxing by the pool. After arriving at the park, pick a sun lounger and lay down your towel in preparation for the day ahead. If you want to store your valuables away there are lockers available at the Acqua Shop. You won't need money until the end of the day, as the rides you go on are charged to the wristband that you're wearing.

Acqua Plus is Crete's biggest water park, so you can be sure there's a great selection of rides and slides to get involved with. You'll find yourself spinning down tubes, out through holes at the end of a drop, and racing down long slides before splashing into the water below. Go on extreme rides like Tsunami and Spacebowl for the biggest thrills.

Or if you prefer a more relaxing experience, then grab a rubber ring and float gently down the Lazy River. If you have little ones, then there are smaller play pools where you can safely splash around together. You can also be safe in the knowledge that there's a crew of lifeguards looking out for you while you have fun. Make sure you bring plenty of sun cream though, get some waterproof lotion if you can, and reapply regularly through the day.

When you've had your fill of the rides, retreat to your lounger and soak up some warm Mediterranean sun. Or head next door to Crete Golf Club and work on your stroke as you play a round. Make your way back to Hersonissos to see the Roman Fountain, or give the town's other water park at Star Beach a try.
