Located on the eastern coast of Corfu, Louis Ionian Sun is a beachfront, family-friendly 4 star hotel. The resort is surrounded by green, lush vegetation in a quiet, remote part of the island. It’s a world away from the hustle and bustle of Corfu Town, 16km north of the resort and just a 25 minute drive from the airport. There are also a couple of family run tavernas within walking distance.

Children can join the mini club, have fun in the playground or splash around in the pools, complete with waterslides. At meal times there’s kid-friendly buffets, while you can leave the littlest guests with a babysitter (for an additional charge) and relax. If you like sports you’ll be spoiled for choice with swimming, tennis, basketball, volleyball, archery, ping pong, aerobics and billiards all on offer.

The restaurant boasts an indoor area and a veranda with a spectacular view of the Ionian Sea and mainland Greece. There are five themed nights per week; Greek, Italian, Mediterranean, Cretean and Mexican. For sleepyheads a late light breakfast is served by the beach. During the day two poolside and one beach bar offer a refreshing range of beverages. In the evening enjoy a cocktail at the rooftop bar, where you can also watch the entertainment provided by the in-house animation team. Meals, drinks and snacks are included for all-inclusive customers until midnight but the main bar remains open until 1am.

Double rooms feature a balcony or terrace, a queen sized bed, satellite TV and tea & coffee making facilities. Between July and September individually controlled air-conditioning is available, while you can also request a safe for a surcharge. The family option can sleep up to four guests.

The hotel is located in a rural location in Aghios Ioannis, ideal for relaxing. But you don’t have to look far for places to visit. The Azoria Olive Tree is believed to be 3200 years old with a base of 22m and a height of almost 7m. Children will love to run around the 8th century castle at Gardiki, where you will also find caves to explore. Achilleion Palace is one of the most impressive sites on the island. Here, you can view the 19th century neoclassical mansion and the gardens with the sea as the backdrop.
