Roda Beach Resort & Spa is on the north coast of Corfu, known as the 'Emerald Isle' of the Greek islands for its green landscapes filled with olive groves and Cypress trees. The hotel is on the beachfront, so you're steps away from the long sandy stretch and shallow, calm waters found there. Roda Beach Resort & Spa is a short walk from the centre of Roda, which sits at the foot of Mount Pantokrator. At this village you'll find a selection of local bars, restaurants and shops. Roda Beach Resort & Spa is a family-friendly All Inclusive hotel. The hotel has six outdoor pools surrounded by a sun terrace, where you can enjoy refreshing drinks from the pool bar. It also serves ice cream and snacks like pizza and hot dogs. During your stay, you have a choice of four restaurants, three of which are on the beach. There's also a beach bar open from morning till late evening. The kids' pool and water slide will keep younger guests busy, or they can join the hotel-run kids' club (running from April to October). The hotel also has an adults-only spa, which features a heated indoor pool and offers a range of beauty treatments and massage. You can use the floodlit tennis courts or have a game of beach volleyball. Aquaerobics sessions and water polo games are held in the pool during the day, or you might want to try windsurfing on the beach.

Roda Beach Resort and Spa is set in its own gardens among palm trees and overlooking the sea. Roda Beach is a continuation of Acharavi Beach, 5km along the coast. This long shoreline is lined with laid-back bars and cafés. Roda Village is 1.2km away. Visitors to the village can experience traditional Greek village life while also enjoying tourist attractions like local seafood restaurants and the bustling nightlife. The nearby Acharavi resort offers guests further dining and shopping opportunities, as well as a beach backed by greenery. You could take a day trip to Corfu Town, the capital of the island, which features a Venetian fortress. The town is a 35km drive from the hotel. Corfu is well located for island hopping, so you could take a boat trip to Paxi, or drive inland to visit the island's traditional mountain villages.

The hotel's buffet restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also chose from Greek or Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner in the à la carte restaurants, while the Chinese restaurant is open for dinner. Cakes are served mid-afternoon and ice cream is available throughout the day.

There's a playground for children in the garden. The hotel organises activities such as darts, mini golf and table tennis, as well as archery and water polo.

Arrived eventually at The Roda Beach Resort & Spa to a ridiculously long queue to check in, no welcome drink or acknowledgement of our wait. During check in we were informed that we would be staying up the road in another Hotel tonight as they had no room for us! We were taken in a battered two door car by someone working for the Hotel who didn't use his seat belt so we bleeped most of the way. Next day the deputy manager Antonio picked us up, apologised and returned us to Roda Beach, on the way we asked about good fish restaurants and not only did he recommend his favourite he drove us there a few days later and it was fabulous. Sadly it took two days to receive beach towels as they simply didn't have enough. The Hotel was very busy, staff worked hard and were always pleasant, the buffet style restaurant was exceptional for the amount of people and quality of food it delivered three times daily. As everyone mentions the omelette lady went above and beyond, her food was cooked to perfection and her smile and conversation infectious! :) The staff at the main pool bar worked very hard and remained polite and professional and served everything with a smile. The kebab man again worked very hard especially as he was solo, he delivered good kebabs for hours on end! We enjoyed the savoury crepes and the choice of cakes & ice creams etc., served throughout the day near the pool would please any sweet toothed person! The Hotel was kept immaculately clean, as was our lovely seaview bungalow. Entertainment was good and families seemed to really enjoy the shows, particularly the audience participation parts! The beach was well kept by tractors cleaning away weed, it was good to have yoga, archery and boules to take part in during the day. We loved the waterslide in the big main pool. We ate in Roda village a few times and would highly recommend Roxannes & Pirate bar, they both also served great cocktails. We definitely would like to return again, in all honesty you get what you pay for and we thought that this holiday was well worth what we paid. (£800pp - 10 days -September - All inclusive) Maybe Greek 5* definition is less than expected in other Countries? Just enjoy the moment people! :)

More bad than good including severe food poisoning

Tripadvisor Pros : Nice setting beachfront very private and stunning views across to the mountains of Albania Free pedalos Plenty of flimsy sun beds we never struggled to find beds in an extremely busy half term week (just not the comfy cushioned ones) not sure why people needed to reserve them for hours on end Great bar and restaurant staff, crepes and pool bar I really enjoyed the three extra beachfront restaurants I used the Greek for lunch and Asian Cons: Sorry they outweighs the good points … Arrived at 1am no bed made up for my son also drinks cups and glasses in room always for two there were 3 in the room. No coffee sachets. I wasn’t expecting a modern room but it was worse very outdated smelt musty the drawers smelt so bad I couldn’t use them one toilet flush didn’t work at all and the second one stopped working for a night (the night I was really ill) No WiFi in rooms and generally poor across hotel we’ve come home with lots of extra roaming charges Wine / drinks given in leaky paper cups most nights as ran of glasses Entertainment was non existent The mini disco on a screen every night and some karaoke and a quiz No beach towels the whole holiday gave up trying after reception saying to come back every few hours People queuing 30 mins for sub standard warm buffet food No hand drying method in all communal toilets Dozens of wild Cats appear to live on the hotel grounds and freely roam around the restaurants and poop everywhere Noise through the rooms was awful I had to call reception twice for assistance in the early hours up to 5am people partying in neighbouring rooms My husband and I ate in the Asian restaurant and within 4hrs I unfortunately suffered severe sudden food poisoning symptoms and was then bath/bedridden for two days until my departure (every party on our bus home had at least one person in their group with the same symptoms) no care or assistance for cleaning of the bathroom after explaining to the reception that I was very ill We were told to leave the soiled towels outside the room in walkway they were still there 48hrs later There was a large group of aggressive noisy swearing guests I didn’t see security step in once The hotel was clearly closing the day after we vacated I saw the pool area staff drinking beers behind the bar Unsafe rooms - my son was resting in the room and another guest and his young daughter just walked straight into the room to use the toilet - there key opened our door!!! The reception said they would fix it but not sure they actually did anything.

Our room,325, wasn't anything like as good as the one we stayed in May this Year, 144, it was quite noisy, too close to reception, beginning of corridor and there was a Compressor that came on Day and Night The best part of our stay apart from the weather was the Food Staff so cheerful especially the Drinks Girls and our Omelette plus show-cooking Lady. Only Serious Problem when my Wife and I both got Food Poisoning as did quite a few other Guests probably where the Show Cooking took place. Lack of Hygiene using Tongs for Raw Food that were the same used in serving the Guests also for stacking up the serving trays with the cooked Meats There needs to be one used for cooking and a separate one for serving/stacking onto the Trays after the Meat has been cooked!
