Roda Beach Resort and Spa

Roda Beach Resort & Spa is on the north coast of Corfu, known as the 'Emerald Isle' of the Greek islands for its green landscapes filled with olive groves and Cypress trees. The hotel is on the beachfront, so you're steps away from the long sandy stretch and shallow, calm waters found there. Roda Beach Resort & Spa is a short walk from the centre of Roda, which sits at the foot of Mount Pantokrator. At this village you'll find a selection of local bars, restaurants and shops. Roda Beach Resort & Spa is a family-friendly All Inclusive hotel. The hotel has six outdoor pools surrounded by a sun terrace, where you can enjoy refreshing drinks from the pool bar. It also serves ice cream and snacks like pizza and hot dogs. During your stay, you have a choice of four restaurants, three of which are on the beach. There's also a beach bar open from morning till late evening. The kids' pool and water slide will keep younger guests busy, or they can join the hotel-run kids' club (running from April to October). The hotel also has an adults-only spa, which features a heated indoor pool and offers a range of beauty treatments and massage. You can use the floodlit tennis courts or have a game of beach volleyball. Aquaerobics sessions and water polo games are held in the pool during the day, or you might want to try windsurfing on the beach.

Roda Beach Resort and Spa is set in its own gardens among palm trees and overlooking the sea. Roda Beach is a continuation of Acharavi Beach, 5km along the coast. This long shoreline is lined with laid-back bars and cafés. Roda Village is 1.2km away. Visitors to the village can experience traditional Greek village life while also enjoying tourist attractions like local seafood restaurants and the bustling nightlife. The nearby Acharavi resort offers guests further dining and shopping opportunities, as well as a beach backed by greenery. You could take a day trip to Corfu Town, the capital of the island, which features a Venetian fortress. The town is a 35km drive from the hotel. Corfu is well located for island hopping, so you could take a boat trip to Paxi, or drive inland to visit the island's traditional mountain villages.

The hotel's buffet restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can also chose from Greek or Italian cuisine for lunch and dinner in the à la carte restaurants, while the Chinese restaurant is open for dinner. Cakes are served mid-afternoon and ice cream is available throughout the day.

There's a playground for children in the garden. The hotel organises activities such as darts, mini golf and table tennis, as well as archery and water polo.

Abo great place our first time in Corfu and not left wanting the hotel roda beach is very clean and has lots of little places scattered around if u like the quiet times like we do but yet not to far from the hustle bussle of the main hotel itself the hotel rooms are good in size and balconies are good to.the lobby bar is the nuts with an outside terrace and inside seated area with a nice breeze which was great as it is very hot here test me . our room was spot on the pool was nice n quiet evey day if there was more than 10people at the pool at one time then I'm exaggerating honestly down points r the beer they serve is "CRAP" to say the least on all-inclusive I walked everyday to the shop down the beach to by my beers for the day and every day cos its that bad tho vasilli in the lobby bar is great on evening if u ask for Bacardi u get Bacardi not the local battery acid stuff so hands up to vasilli a great bar man so if u have chosen to stay here or thinking of holidaying here then UV chosen well and won't be disappointed truelly a nice place from cleaning staff who tirelessly to bar staff who do table service when they can to a great beach and pool scene and great food each day what more do u need

A wonderful stay in a nice resort

We spent two weeks at this resort last month and we were very impressed with every aspect of the service we received. All the staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful. They always greeted us in a friendly way. We thought the food was of a high standard and there were plenty of different dishes available. Outside our room there was a step in pool which not many people used and it was nice to swim there. There were plenty of sun loungers around the pools and the beach. The only downside was the air conditioning which was a bit noisy. Summing up we would like to say that we would have no hesitation in recommending this resort to anyone.

Could be so much better with some tweaks

This hotel & resort is beautiful. We had a good time but with some tweaks it could have been great. The biggest let down is the reception staff who are collectively, pretty rude and uncaring. Other staff seemed very nice. Issues: We requested ahead of our stay and on arrival again, to be placed in a room next to or opposite our daughter who was travelling with us and her 5 month old daughter (our granddaughter). This request was refused. She was placed on first floor and us on the ground floor. We requested 2 keys as only one was provided, this request was refused despite us offering a deposit for the second key. It meant that numerous times throughout our stay I had to leave the bedroom door unlocked so my husband could get in later. If he’d taken the key I would have had no power in the room as the key worked the lock and utilities in the room, I.e, lights, air con, etc. I felt very vulnerable. We ordered a taxi to take us to town. Reception staff said it would be 10 mins and to wait outside hotel entrance. After 30 mins and no taxi (waiting in searing heat with a 5 month old baby) I asked reception to call taxi company. They said the company had cancelled but they didn’t know where we were to inform us!!! Morning after arrival we asked to book themed restaurant for a lunch and dinner during our stay and we’re told there was no availability. We arrived late and brochure says they keep buffet restaurant open for late arrivals. They don’t. We were given a ham, salad roll after 9 hours travelling. Pros: Good food Excellent pools Lots of sun beds & umbrellas Shop with everything you need on site Great crepes, ice cream and souvlaki Cons: Local drinks are really rough. Buy your own spirit at duty free and take with you. Beer was okay though. Only have 3 pint glasses in the entire hotel! Beer served in wine size glasses. Queues!! You have to queue for literally everything, be prepared. Tiny paper cups given out around the pool for drinks. Bring your own reusable plastic glass. SPA: Really?! It’s unlike any I’ve ever used. Freezing cold indoor pool, no other facilities. Well, unless you count the 6 sun beds and 2 chairs around the pool. No towels. You have to bring your own. No warm, comforting treatment rooms, air con full blast, very chilly which doesn’t help when having a massage. I booked 60 min massage and got about 45 mins in total. Certainly would not recommend for the price, €115! The most upsetting thing was we requested late check out, especially with young baby but we’re told to come back to reception day before departure, then we’re told after 6pm on day of departure and then told NO! I’m afraid my husband lost his cool, asked to speak to the manager and a room was thankfully found for which we were most grateful. Would I return…. Probably not, but with some attention to detail this could be the 4* it claims to be.
