Yes. Manchester Airport has flights operating across three terminals. Liverpool just has one terminal. If you’re flying from Manchester and planning to drive or book a taxi then ensure you know which terminal your flight is from, and whether your flight home will use the same terminal as your flight out.

Where can you fly to from Manchester Airport?

Is it easier to get to Manchester or Liverpool Airport?

The airports are located around 30 miles from each other. Both have good motorway connections. If you’re approaching Liverpool Airport from the south be aware that the Mersey Gateway Bridge has a toll. This is not collected on the bridge, but can be paid in advance online or by phone, or within one day of crossing.

Manchester Airport has its own railway station. It boasts direct trains to numerous towns in Lancashire, Merseyside, Yorkshire, North Wales, Cumbria and the North East. While the local train to Crewe provides connections with trains to the Midlands and beyond.

Liverpool Airport doesn’t have its own railway station. The nearest is Liverpool South Parkway, from where there’s a regular bus to the airport. Liverpool South Parkway has direct trains to numerous destinations including Birmingham, Chester, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southport and Wolverhampton.
