Aparthotel Nereida
787 reviews
Aparthotel Nereida is a family-friendly hotel set in a quiet area of Bahia San Antonio on the Balearic island of Ibiza. The nearest beach is a short stroll away, and you can find a number of shops and bars in the local area. Aparthotel Nereida has a sun terrace where you can have breakfast or a drink and take in the views of the Mediterranean Sea. There's also a resident DJ who plays music in the outdoor pool area, which includes a swimming pool for adults and a shallower one for children. The hotel organises daily activities such as water polo and darts. You can also play table tennis and pool. There's a hotel-run kids' club for children aged between 4 and 11 years old. If you want to get to the centre of San Antonio, there are buses that stop near the hotel seven days a week or you can get a taxi there and back. San Antonio Bay is one of the most famous party destinations in Europe and includes a number of high-profile nightclubs. If you fancy doing something a bit quieter, you can head to the Old Town, which is within driving distance.
The closest beach to the hotel is 300m away, and there are a few bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Nereida is 50m from the nearest supermarket, where you'll be able to buy food, drink and other essentials. Ibiza Old Town, or Dalt Vila, as it's commonly known, is just over 18km away from the hotel. Here, you'll be able to make your way up steep cobbled streets and take in some panoramic views of the area. There's also a cathedral that's very popular with tourists, and you'll find a range of craft and gift shops on your way back down.
The hotel has a buffet restaurant where you can get breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'll also have the option to eat outside on the terrace. The hotel has a bar that serves soft and alcoholic drinks, as well as a selection of snacks and light meals.
You can relax by the pool and listen to the DJ, head to the beach or go sightseeing in the local area.
Stairs down the pool. Below the hotel there are rocks. There is a bathing ladder but it is difficult to reach without shoes due to sharp rocks. The nearest beach is 300 meters from the hotel and Playa des Xinxo Beach is approximately 950 meters from the hotel.
The rooms at Nereida are bright and spacious, and come with a balcony. Air conditioning is also provided in each room.

Great family holiday with teenagers
We booked this holiday as the reviews were so good, mostly 4/5 star for a 3 star property. I can confirm they were accurate. It is a 3 star but definitely a very good one. Travelled in July with two teenagers, worried they would be bored but thankfully not. Lots of other families with similar aged kids there so they made lots of friends. The entertainment guys were fab, kept everyone amused day and night. The food was great, bit repetitive after 10 days but of great standard and quality, my only complaint was the air conditioning situation! There is only one small old unit in the bedroom, none in the living area where the kids slept. It was very hot and unpleasant. We asked for a fan but they mustn’t have any as he looked at me like I was crazy lol! It was an exceptionally hot spell so probably not usually a problem, rooms were nice and clean, communal areas were also spotless. Location was as described, few mins ti closest shops but 15 mins to town and bars which is fine for all inclusive as we didn’t need to head out. all in all a great family holiday.
Good, but room for improvement. Would go again though
Partner and I stayed here for a week, just returned today. Found the hotel was good overall, food/drinks were good and all staff helpful, especially the Australian bar lady who was very attentive and willing to help. Our Room ( 303 ) was nice and plenty of room with 2 balconies although we felt the room could have been a bit cleaner ( dust on top of tv etc and sticky cup marks on the table ) and it felt a bit old. Definitely need to get the sunbed situation sorted out, we only managed to get a sunbed 2 or 3 tines out of the 7 days we were there because firstly there are nowhere near enough beds and secondly people reserve them then dissappear until the afternoon! Sunsets are among the best I've ever seen and the view is very good. No entertainment in the evenings although this was nice in some ways as it was more relaxing but would have liked something during the day or a couple of the evenings. Would recommend going snorkeling in the sea at the hotel, amazing view of sealife. The pool was good and was kept clean although it's very deep ( 3 metres in the middle ) so the only part you can stand up in is at one of the ends. There is a small kids pool although if I had kids I wouldn't take them to this hotel as I feel they would be very bored with the lack of entertainment/kids activities. More suitable to adults looking for a quiet relaxing time away. Plenty of shops etc nearby and it's not right on 'the strip' so not too lairy at night. We enjoyed our stay and with a few improvements this could be a very good hotel, we would stay here again despite the minor niggles.
Honest Review
I must admit I was concerned after reading mixed reviews but here's my honest opinion which I hope will help. I stayed with my friend (we're both 39). 1. After a delayed flight and 1am hotel arrival, last thing we wanted was to wait 1hr to check in due to queue of guests. This should have been anticipated. No apology or details of breakfast/lunch/dinner/wi-fi provided by the male receptionist. A bottle of water in fridge would have been appreciated. 2. We stayed in room 701 which was a view of the pool next door and sea view - excellent! There was a funky smell in our bathroom daily & cleaner explained its the drainage. The rooms on the other side of the hotel (esp those with the daybeds) are alot nicer if you're lucky enough to book one. 3. Quality and range of food was fantastic, don't know why previous guests complained. Snack bar could do with more variation! 4. Bar staff all friendly and welcoming - thank you. Local spirits. Don't get excited about cocktails, all pre made in a packet. Slush puppy, pizza and some ice-creams not included in A/I. 5. Lack of sunbeds is a real issue - not sufficient for the number of guests. We had to get up at 7am just to reserve a bed which is crazy! On 2 days we had to sit around on the uncomfortable plastic table and chairs until guests vacated in the afternoon. 6. DJ in the chill out area amazing and makes a perfect addition to the evening watching the sunset. 7. I wouldn't recommend this as a family friendly hotel. I have a 5 year old and wouldn't take him there. Small kids pool, no slides, no daytime/evening entertainment. Providing entertainment would certainly boost the ratings! 8. The main pool is super deep both ends, no shallow part. 9. It was fine for a 3 star hotel - you get what you pay for. Would I stay there again? Hmm probably not.
