Thomas Cook partners with eSIM provider Kolet to offer customers free mobile data overseas

France-based eSIM provider to become the online travel agency’s exclusive connectivity partner

Online travel agency Thomas Cook has today announced a new partnership with France-based eSIM provider Kolet to give customers complimentary mobile data when they book a package holiday.

Available across every booking, the new partnership will see customers receiving 1GB of free mobile data through a Kolet eSIM (to be used over a 48 hour period), making it easier to book a taxi, find their hotel, or send a quick message back home as soon as customers touch down, without relying on airport Wi-FI or searching for a local SIM card.

When customers book a package holiday with the online travel agency, they’ll receive an email containing a unique link to redeem their free eSIM data 72 hours prior to the start of their getaway. Holidaymakers are encouraged to download their eSIM to their mobile device prior to boarding their departure flight, to ensure they’re connected as soon as they land at their destination.

Ryan Cotton, Chief Marketing Officer at Thomas Cook, said:

“Having mobile data when we travel overseas has become part of the holiday experience, which is why we’re delighted to be partnering with Kolet to add even more value to our offering, a simple extra that makes a real difference once our customers arrive in destination.”

Kolet provides travellers with a single eSIM that works in more than 190 countries, with access to multiple local networks and 24/7 human customer support. Already trusted by more than 750,000 travellers worldwide, Kolet makes it simple to stay connected abroad without switching SIM cards or relying on public Wi-Fi.

Eduardo Ronzano, Co-founder and CEO at Kolet, said:

“Thomas Cook is one of the UK’s best-known travel brands, so we’re thrilled to be working together to help even more holidaymakers stay connected overseas. More people are choosing eSIMs as a simple way to get online abroad, and we’re looking forward to bringing that experience to Thomas Cook customers.”

More information on the offer can be found by visiting https://www.kolet.com/. The complimentary 1GB eSIM offer is available to eligible first-time Kolet users.

Customers booking with Thomas Cook can choose from over 20,000 hotels across 72 destinations throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, and enjoy flexible travel options with more than 190 airline partners. All package holidays are ATOL protected, giving customers peace of mind and enhanced financial security, as well as the reassurance of ABTA's Code of Conduct
