Ryan Cotton promoted to Chief Marketing Officer at eSky Group

Cotton to lead marketing strategy across eSky and Thomas Cook

eSky Group, the global online travel agency and owner of Thomas Cook, has announced the promotion of Ryan Cotton to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Cotton will now oversee brand and marketing teams across the entire eSky Group, shaping the global strategy for a portfolio of brands delivering a range of travel services across the UK, Europe, and the Americas.

Speaking on his promotion, Cotton said:

“I’m thrilled to take the helm of eSky’s marketing function, driving activity across both the eSky and Thomas Cook brand. This promotion reflects the strength of our business and our ambition to become the travel provider of choice across the UK, Europe and America.”

Cotton joined Thomas Cook in December 2019 as Marketing Director, shortly after the company’s transformation into a digital-first travel agency. He was instrumental in scaling the new operation, which achieved £150m in holiday sales during the business’ first year of trading following the pandemic.

Following eSky Group’s acquisition of Thomas Cook UK in 2024, Cotton took responsibility for leading on the brand’s digital marketing strategy, spearheading significant improvements to its marketing efficiencies, as well as this summer delivering high double-digit growth in its package holiday sales across Europe.

In his new role as CMO, he will lead marketing initiatives group-wide, supporting eSky’s long-term vision of expansion and continued growth across global travel markets.
