    Stockholm weather June

What’s the weather like in Stockholm in June?

With long sunny days and temperatures over 20°C, the Stockholm weather in June is the best all year. Rainfall increases a little compared to spring, but any showers won’t spoil your special summer trip to the exciting capital of Sweden.

    Geographical influences

While winters in Sweden are bitterly cold with not much daylight, the summer months are warm and bright. Stockholm’s found in the south east of the country and Sweden’s actually quite a dry country compared to the rest of northern Europe. The western mountains in Norway shield it from the Jet Stream winds.

You’ll soak up the warm and comfortable weather in Stockholm in June. The temperature could reach highs of 21°C on hot days this month, but expect this to fall by four or five degrees on higher ground away from the city. The normal temperature should be around 18°C and only occasionally fall to 15°C on cloudier days. The heat and humidity level will be low, with a moderate UV index. Visitors love the sunshine in June. Stockholm can boast up to 12 hours each day, from 18 hours of daylight, with the sun rising at 3.30am and not setting until after 10pm. Here, in the south of Sweden, the rainfall averages 45mm this month across ten rain-affected days.
