What’s the weather like in Maspalomas in February?
Found on the south coast of Gran Canaria, Maspalomas is a popular Canary Islands holiday destination. The resort has a beautiful subtropical climate, which brings year-round warmth and sunshine. Even though it’s still winter in February, you can look forward to days on the beach and lots of sunny weather. Maspalomas is a great place to escape the UK’s chilly winter, without having to fly long haul.
In February, the average temperature in Maspalomas is 17ºC, rising to a high of 21ºC in the hottest part of the day. You should be comfortable in t-shirts during the daytime, but you might need some light layers for evenings out in the resort, as the temperature drops to 15ºC after dark. Less than 25mm of rain’s expected during February, so the odd light shower won’t spoil your holiday. If you’re at the beach and feel like taking a dip, the Atlantic waters measure 19ºC at this time of year, not far off the peak of summer.
