The Hilton Key Largo Resort was sold by Blackstone/Hilton to KHP Capital Partners and is planning to invest more than 20 million dollars and embark on a full renovation to the property; the plans are very exciting. Work will commence first in the public areas this year, and the guest room renovation is scheduled for February 13 – April 20, 2017 and April 25 – June 19, 2017. The guest room renovation will start with the South Tower in February 2017 and then work will move to the North Tower; one building at a time. Once the renovation is completed in June 2017, the property will be introduced as a Curio hotel under the Hilton Brand, and be the gem of Key Largo. The renovation schedule is quick, to ensure minimal impact.
