Bafa Lake

If you fancy going off the beaten track, take a trip to Bafa Lake. This huge lake is on the Aegean Coast and is a quiet alternative to the busy beaches. If you fancy a bite to eat, you'll find a selection of restaurants overlooking the water, serving traditional Turkish cuisine.

For a chance to discover more of ancient Turkey, check out the mysterious ruins of Heraclea under Latmos. From Didim, you'll find several tour companies that give you a chance to get away from it all on a Jeep Safari through the beautiful countryside. Along with your guide, you'll get to check out the beautiful pine forests and explore mountain trails to the small villages that are a world away from the main tourist destinations.
