“Had a memorable stay!”
Excellent hotel, great location with excellent facilities, large comfortable rooms and lovely breakfast. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely and memorable stay. However, we’ve stayed at 5 star hotels and this hotel cannot be rated in the same category. It lacks the high quality service of a 5 star hotel and we would probably rate it as 4 star. Fish and chips in the pool restaurant was €19, a happy meal size for a kid not an adult. Area of improvement- more environmentally friendly. Towels shouldnt to be changed daily if they’re not placed on the floor.

“Fantastic Experience!”
The DoubleTree by Hilton Lagoa Azores is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. From the moment we arrived, the whole team stood out for their friendliness and professionalism, always welcoming and ready to help. The hotel is modern, comfortable and beautifully maintained, with a great location for exploring São Miguel. Rooms are spacious with lovely views, and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing or enjoying the island. Breakfast was excellent, with great variety, and the spa was a real highlight after a day out exploring. What makes this hotel truly special is the service, the team goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and genuinely cared for. A 5-star experience from start to finish. Highly recommend, and I'll definitely be back!

“Azores luxury hotel - highly recommended”
Very impressed with our experience so far. The hotel is new, feels very clean and luxurious. Client service level is exceptional - one of our rooms didn’t have properly functioning air conditioning, and they were responsive in addressing our needs. Thank you especially to Marcio at front desk for his attention and care, as well as Joana for finding us another room. Breakfast buffet has excellent options and we really enjoy the dinner at the hotel restaurant. Great location with access to major roads and lots of free parking. Walking distance to large grocery store. Thank you for your great hospitality!
