“Excellent”

This hotel is excellent value. So calm and civilised. My wife and I stayed here for a few days in Jan 26 and she loved it so much she came back for two more short breaks in Feb and March. We returned for a night at the end of October and plan to return for a longer stay next year. It is perfectly situated on a hill less than 5 minutes amble into the lovely town of Tavira where there are plenty of relaxing bars, cafes and restaurants on either side of the river spanned by the old Roman Bridge. Also recommend the regular boat service out to Tavira Island. Rooms are well proportioned. Nice pool with bar. Excellent breakfast complete with pianist. Well equipped gym and small indoor pool. My wife tells me she had the best massage ever at a very reasonable price. The staff here are lovely. Perhaps best of all is the roof top bar. Really impressed with AP Hotels. We did spend a night at the AP Cabanas which although pleasant is much busier and dominated by the golfing gangs in the evening. We will definitely try other AP hotels in Portugal.

“Tranquil, friendly and relaxing stay”

Great location right near the centre. Little hill walking back but perfectly fine! The hotel is friendly and serene. Adults only. Rooftop bar has lovely views of beautiful tavira. Room are clean and well appointed. Buy milk though, none in the room. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Piano player a nice touch. Pool bar and pool areas are lovely too. 5 euros for a large superbock and 5 euros for glass of wine so very reasonable. Food in rooftop bar was lovely. Not cheap though. Only ate there once as wanted to try local restaurants. People who complain about this hotel really must be nit picking as it’s a lovely place.

“Enjoyed our stay”

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was excellent with good view and easy to walk into the main town centre . Breakfast fast was v nice with lots of choice. The pools were nice . Unfortunately the Turkish bath wasn’t working. The staff were all very helpful. One thing that was disappointing was the cleaning of rooms . The floor and the surfaces of shelves were not cleaned properly . Always felt that the room was too dusty. Apart from that it was excellent

“Lovely hotel in a great location”

What a beautiful hotel, the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had in hotel, spotlessly clean and lovely food at a great price, with an extensive breakfast selection, stunning roof top bar with attentive staff and the best sunset in Tavira, the pool could do with a little background music, only a short walk to the local bars and restaurants ( bit of a hill ) offering some of the best authentic food we have had anywhere in Portugal, this was our first time here and will not be our last, thank you to all the staff for a wonderful stay - only criticism is please put milk pots in the room, tea and coffee available- but no milk and they don’t appear to be replenished during your stay

“Overall very good, but could do with two improvements”

A lovely hotel to chill out in near Tavira centre. No shops nearby. It would be good if there is as at least one vending machine for water, crisps, chocolate, soft drinks etc!! The pool is too cold, many people I spoke to said the same. Great breakfast and very comfortable beds.
