Lagoa Flea Market

For a day trip away from Carvoeiro, head inland to the charming town of Lagoa, just over a 10 minute drive away. A weekly market is set up in the heart of the town's rustic buildings. Numerous stalls line the cobbled streets, selling home grown fruit and vegetables from local sellers. Some even sell meats and freshly made meals cooked over charcoal stoves.

Enjoy browsing and bartering for a fair price over second hand goods, traditional fabrics, leather, shoes and handmade trinkets and souvenirs. At the end of each month, Lagoa holds an indoor antiques fair where, if you're lucky, you may be able to purchase traditional items such as clocks, ornaments and jewellery.
