“Avoid at all costs”
We booked the 2 bedroom apartment and arrived full of high hopes due to the good reviews. I’m a hotel General Manager for a well known international chain and yes I do have high standards but I’ve used apartments on numerous occasions so wasn’t expecting hotel level but at the very least a basic standard of cleanliness. When we arrived there was a huge black hair and stains on the table which tells me it wasn’t cleaned properly. See attached photos of what else we found. I messaged the manager to ask for the apartment to be recleaned and he called me back. Now what happened next shocked me and my 78 year old mother. Cliff (said Manager) started verbally abusing me down the phone. He used the F word numerous times and started saying that never in his 14 years of being a manager has he ever received a complaint about the top of the shower head being dusty and that we should be out enjoying the sun rather than complaining! He kept on shouting at me. I remained calm as going into confrontation never helps any situation. All I wanted was for him to acknowledge my complaint and rectify it. Following our conversation both myself and my mother were so intimidated and upset that we made the decision to find alternative accommodation and check straight out of the apartment. Thankfully we found somewhere where the staff did care and we can now continue to enjoy our holiday and booking.com also refunded us after also having an altercation with Cliff. The man has no customer service skills at all and the only thing going for the apartments is the location.

“Fabulous!!!and we are fussy!!!!”
We were really really pleased with this apartment,it had everything we needed,very clean,comfy bed,lovely shower,clean towels daily if we wanted them and the lady kindly cleaned bathroom and topped water up. Perfect for people watching and nice view of harbour,very central,really quiet.I think Clifford has thought of everything!Thanks!would highly recommend.

“Great Location; Quiet, Safe”
For location, this gets a 10/10. It is legit right next to Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta where you can see amazing sunrises and sunsets (in November, at least; not sure about the rest of the year). Ferries depart at the bottom of the Barrakk Gardens's elevator so if you take any ferry, like to Gozo or Three Cities, it's super convenient. Our room was quiet, had a kitchenette, AC and heat, and a Juliette balcony. Also, many, many restaurants/bars are a quick 2-10 minute walk away. The bus terminal is about a 10 minute walk away. The housekeeper was super attentive and accommodating. She gave us extra tea, sugar, milk and showed us the reverse osmosis water filter tap in the lobby so we could fill our water bottles. We never had to buy water! (You can brush your teeth with the tap water, and I drank it, too, but my hubs didn't like the taste and wouldn't drink the tap water.) Although clean, the upholstered pieces in the suite (couch and the bed's headboard) were a bit shabby. They need a good cleaning, or better yet, replacing. This is why I rated this place 4/5 instead of 5/5. There is no live person in the lobby. They text you a code to get into the building and then when you reach your room, the keys will be in the door. NOTE: You need to climb up 15 steps in order to reach the elevator so for those who cannot handle stairs, this would not be the place them.

“An amazing location and a beautiful and quiet apartment.”
An amazing apartment overlooking Upper Barraka Gardens. Such a fantastic location to walk around Valletta. The apartment was very comfortable and quiet and the host was responsive. The bed was very comfortable and thoughtful touches were included - tea, coffee, water etc. The room was also serviced daily. We could not think of a better place to stay when exploring Valletta and we would highly recommend.

“Charming flat”
The small hotel with few apartments was in an abolutely fine location - just inside the old city and next to peacefull upper barrak gartens. Room with an OK interior - a bit old / outdated but fully functional. An issue was handled within hours - fine. Bathroom fine and the large bed really good. Internet connection super.
