Stroll along the warm, golden sand of Pefkos beach until you find that perfect spot for a day of sunbathing. Pull up a lounger and grab a cold drink from one of the beachfront cafes, or go for a dip in the sea. The beach has some exciting water sports, where you can learn to windsurf or snorkel in the clear waters. Glass-bottom boat trips are another way of exploring the region’s underwater life from the comfort of the deck – and you can stop to go swimming, too. If you’re away with kids, take them for a day out at the superb Faliraki Water Park, popular for its slides, wave pool and games.

Pefkos’ pine-lined beaches are a peaceful and beautiful part of the resort, awarded the prestigious Blue Flag for their upkeep and quality. Powdery golden sand melts into shallow, clear water, with Rhodes’ rugged landscapes in the distance. The main beach has sun loungers and umbrellas for sunbathing in comfort, and the resort’s beachfront cafes and snack bars are a short stroll away. If you feel like doing something energetic, top beach activities in Pefkos include windsurfing and parasailing, or you could take a leisurely ride in a pedalo or go snorkelling in the crystal clear water.

Less than an hour’s drive away is the much-loved Faliraki Water Park. Fantastic for a family day out, the park has dozens of slides ranging from super-speedy black holes to gentle slides for little kids. You can also chill out at the wave pool or lazy river, have a go on the bumper cars and grab a hot dog or pancakes from the park’s snack bars. Glass-bottom boat trips are a favourite family attraction in Pefkos, where you get to explore the beautiful coast of Rhodes while spotting colourful fish and marine life underwater.

Just down the road from famous neighbour Lindos, Pefkos is a laid-back resort that has retained its fishing village feel. The waterfront is a lovely place to walk and cycle and at night, there is a good choice of restaurants and bars with a relaxed yet sociable atmosphere for spending the evenings in. The resort is ideally situated for exploring Rhodes, and a favourite attraction in Pefkos is taking boat tours out to the likes of Symi, one of the smallest and more picturesque of the Greek islands. If you prefer to stay on dry land, the ancient town of Lindos is just 10 minutes away by bus.
