Reviews
“Remote location for quiet relaxation with friendly staff and service.”
First impression was good with a warm and personal welcome from the hotel manager. Due to an alleged overbooking issue, we received a room upgrade from studio to suite. The main advantage for us was 1) the additional wardrobe space that we had - very useful as we were there for two weeks, and 2) the amazing panoramic sea view from the suite's balcony - possibly the best of all the rooms? The facilities in the room were basic, only a few minor problems like no plug for the bathroom sink, wobbly toilet seat due to a missing seat buffer, a missing pull-cord on one of the blinds (so it remained down for our 2-week stay) and the often common holiday problem of balancing scalding hot/freezing cold water when taking a shower. Incidentally, the shower was over a corner-bath with no hand rails and no non-slip surface. I honestly think it would be impossible for less able persons to get in/out safely! The kitchenette was just a sink, kettle and toaster with a selection of cutlery, cups, bowls and plates. If we had wanted to self-cater, it was entirely inadequate without a hob or cooking pans/utensils. But it was good to have a full size fridge that we were able to use for our own cold water & soft/alcoholic drinks and some ice creams. Let's look at some positives... the pool area is very relaxing with no problems getting a sunbed for the day. We saw no reserving of sunbeds, which was really good! And the sunbeds are in good condition and comfortable. It got busier around 3.30/4pm when I presume people returned from the beach or day trips and also happy hour is running 3.30-5pm. There is music played all day - mostly it was quiet and easy listening but sometimes the volume would, for no obvious reason, be increased and the music choices could become more upbeat and intrusive. A few times I opted to use my noise cancelling earbuds. The pool was warm and very clean, but water a bit cooler in our second week when the air temperatures, after one rainy day, dropped from mid-30s to mid/late-20s. The staff throughout the complex are friendly and we were pleased with the daily upkeep of our accommodation. We enjoyed the breakfasts, although the hot options tended to be lukewarm. I suppose a broader selection of fruit to go with the yoghurt would have been nicer, but we enjoyed what was available and certainly didn't go hungry. Two additional charges applied locally are the Greek tourist tax of 10Euro daily and, if you need aircon, another 10Euro daily. So that was an extra 280Euro (£240 approx) for our fortnight stay. We made use of the small supermarket that is very close by and also the three tavernas within walking distance - Windmill (closest), Florida (big portions) and Agnadi (our favourite). The road can be busy and the pavements don't cover all parts of the walk, so we had to be a bit cautious and keep crossing back and forth to maximise visibility and safety - maybe not for the less adventurous on foot. Lots of other restaurants to try in nearby Argassi (5Km from hotel, 10 mins by car/taxi). We had a hire car that we collected/dropped off at the airport and would recommend a car, unless you want to remain close to the hotel for the entirety of your stay.

“Wonderful relaxing holiday.”
Had a fantastic week at the Sea View Village. From start to finish we were treated like a Lord and Lady. Welcomed by the wonderful staff and shown to our delightful room number 2. Had everything we wanted and more. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean great Aircon. We were looked after all week by the exceptional staff. Pool are was lovely and never stuck for beds and brollys. Breakfast was first class quality and plentiful. You must go to the Greek night it's great fun and worth every penny. Bar staff very friendly and loved the Alfa beer in frozen glasses and good snacks great Pizza and salads. Nice supermarket two minutes walk where you can get everything. Nice walk to beach about 20 mins and lovely sitting next to the sea at sunset with a drink. Thank you all for a wonderful holiday. X

“Chillax and unwind”
Location Perfect location if you want peace. Nothing within walking distance, apart from a small supermarket via a rather steep, sloping road. The beach is NOT a short distance away unless you want to walk a treacherous path of a steep slope with uneven steps down the side of a mountain! Apparently (we never went). But the beach the bus from the hotel takes you to is not impressive; it is stony and has only one restaurant and a bar. No shops. Atmosphere Relaxed, quiet and peaceful. Most people chill by the pool, reading a book or scrolling on their phones/Kindles. Rooms Spacious and clean. We had an apartment with a maisonette room. However, the cleaners never ventured upstairs, so that bed was never changed and a broken fan was not fixed until our last night. The light switches for the ceiling lights did not work at one end of the room so we returned home with many bruises on our legs from bashing into the furniture in the dark!! P.S. They charge 10 euros per night for the air conditioning. Cleanliness It was the end of season, and we watched the cleaners flick a mop around but nothing else. No emptying of bins and no removing/replacing of towels. Disappointed to see that the towels were all worn, discoloured, and ragged! Noise level VERY thin walls. Neighbours snoring and bathroom activities are very loud! But the views from the balconies are amazing!! The cockrels clearly don't know the time of day and cockoodledoo continuously, and the barking dogs are intense! Service All Ukrainian staff are fabulous! Julia & Oksana are a credit to the establishment and should be paid exceptional rates by Maria, the owner. They are outstanding staff!! Amenities Pool is cold but refreshing. Bar staff are smiley and happy chappies. Half-price happy hour is between 3.30 to 5pm. Wine & beer or cider = 3 euros Unfortunately, as we arrived at the end of the season (September 14th), many drinks and food items had not been restocked or reordered so just be aware of that. The food is amazing! We were half board - breakfast was cereal, bread, cakes, ham, cheese, juice, coffee, etc., lukewarm eggs, bacon, sausage etc., only grapes and watermelon, fruit-wise. BUT, staff were exceptional!! Evening dinner is a choice of a starter, main and dessert. The moussaka & lamb dishes were amazing!! Maria, the owner is charming but, the staff are an amazing credit and made the holiday. Anastasia is so helpful and considerate. One week is enough.

“Amazing!”
Myself and my partner booked Sea View Village for a week based off the reviews and I have to say, they're absolutely spot on. The rooms are great, spacious and clean, the pool area is fantastic, the breakfast is brilliant - and as the name says, the views are spectacular from everywhere. But the one thing that makes Sea View Village special is the staff. They really could not do much more for us. We checked in late and were offered dinner when we arrived, the shuttle bus was great and the service was fantastic. A special mention has to go to everyone working for Sea View Village for making our holiday so special. If you're looking for an amazing place to stay in Vasilikos, look no further.
