Galazio Beach Resort
General description:
The hotel Galazio Apartments and Suites is located right on a sandy beach. At the beach, there are sun umbrellas and sun loungers free of charge. The town Chersonissos is around 3 km away (Heraklion around 22 m). The nearest shopping facilities are located approx. 3 km from the hotel, and also a supermarket is in the vicinity of the hotel. For evening dancing you will find a nightclub in a distance of approx. 3 km. The following attractions can be reached from the hotel: Knossos (approx. 25 km away). For mobility during your holiday, there are a taxi rank (around 200 m away) and a bus stop (approx. 1 km away). For medical treatment in emergencies there is a hospital around 10 km away. The airport (HER) is approx. 22 km away. Another airport (CHQ) is located approx. 165 km away.

Amenities:
Recently renovated in 2023, the 2-storey beach hotel has 48 rooms, and spread over one main building and 3 adjoining buildings. It offers its guests a reception (check-in from 15:00, check-out until 11:00), a lobby, a lift, air conditioning, a mini market and a free parking area. You can relax in good company in the hotel bar. WiFi is available for free. Room cleaning is free of charge. Medical service is available for a fee.

Pool:
In the outdoor area of the hotel you will find one fresh water pool with a separate children´s pool (open from May to October). Here, there are sun loungers and sun umbrellas for free available. A bar at the pool offers guests refreshing beverages (open from 08:00 - 00:00).

Meals:
Breakfast (from 07:00 - 10:00) from the buffet.

“Fantastic Holiday”

Stayed here for 10 nights, and it’s hard to find anything wrong! The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Huge fridge was a bonus, iron / board and fantastic waterfall shower. Only drawback for me was not having a private balcony but next time I would be more selective about the room I book. When we arrived, the weather was unusually stormy for the first few days. This made the rooftop breakfast area a little cold, but not the hotel’s fault and they offered us blankets! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and by day 3, staff had our coffee / tea order waiting! The staff are wonderful. Everyone takes time to talk to you and nothing is too much trouble. We had no problem around the pool, but guessing it would get busy at peak season. We did see staff removing towels which was good! The beach was nice, water very clean and much warmer than the pool. But you need beach shoes to get in due to the rocks. We loved Analipsi as a resort. So many choices of places to eat and quiet little streets. Everywhere we ate, we got a little dessert and shot at the end. You could get a local bus from the top of the road to Heraklion for around 2.5e and they are very regular. We also booked a couple of trips with a place next door to the hotel. Would not recommend the market but highly recommend Safari Experts tour, which was easily the best day of our holiday. First time in Greece but definitely won’t be the last!

“Superb resort”

Superb location opposite a small beach, and the lovely adjoining Areya restaurant. Staff are all amazing especially Poppi on reception and the breakfast staff, who are all so polite helpful and courteous, nothing is too much trouble. The resort is spotless and of an extremely high standard, beach towels are provided along with a complimentary massage. Rooms are top notch - we had a kitchen area and a lovely balcony, hairdryer and ironing facilities plus a safe. Surrounding area is very pretty with lots of restaurants and small family tavernas in the village. Fabulous resort; will certainly visit again!

“Beautiful Hidden Gem xx”

A huge thank you to everyone at Galazio Beach Hotel for making our holiday so lovely! ❤️ From the moment we arrived, all the staff were so friendly and welcoming — nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to Anastasia on reception, who was absolutely wonderful. She recommended some lovely restaurants and also helped arrange a taxi for us to Old Hersonissos Old Town, which was beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Thank you for making everything so easy for us! 🥰 Our room was amazing — absolutely spotless and beautifully kept. We also really appreciated the little extras, including the free welcome drink and the free pudding with lunch. 🍹🍰 We even accidentally left our chargers behind when we checked out. Bless them, they replied to my emails straight away and offered to forward them to us. We had already replaced them, but it really showed how helpful and caring the staff are — they were more than happy to help and it wasn't any trouble at all. ❤️ We were also given two free bottles of water for our coach journey to the airport, which was such a thoughtful touch. 💧 Thank you, Galazio, for a fantastic stay and for making us feel so welcome. We would definitely recommend you we will be returning next year xx! 🇬🇷☀️❤️

“*****Five stars simply aren’t enough”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Galazio Beach Resort in Analipsi, Crete was truly unforgettable! The hotel itself is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and incredibly well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food at the restaurant. But what made our experience genuinely special was something that can’t simply be measured in amenities it was the remarkable staff. From the moment we arrived, the service was phenomenal. Every staff member was warm, kind, welcoming, and sincerely interested in making our stay as memorable as possible. They went above and beyond at every opportunity and showed us the true meaning of the Greek word, filoxenia, genuine love and hospitality shown to guests! A very special thank you to Maria at the breakfast buffet, who was such a kind and sweet presence every morning She remembered our coffee orders after the first day, and before we even had the chance to ask, our coffees would arrive at the table. It’s those small, thoughtful gestures that make you feel truly cared for and turn a wonderful vacation into something you remember for years. We also want to recognize Panagiotis at the restaurant and beach bar, who went out of his way to make sure our daughter enjoyed every moment of her stay. He even surprised her with special sweet treats, which absolutely made her day. His kindness and thoughtfulness meant so much to our family. The young woman Anastasia at reception was equally remarkable, She was incredibly accommodating, patient, and helpful with every question and request we had. Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. There are many beautiful hotels in Greece, but beautiful surroundings alone don’t create lasting memories, people do. The staff at Galazia Beach Resort made us feel not simply like hotel guests, but like genuinely welcomed friends. Thank you to the entire team for showing our family such extraordinary warmth and hospitality You gave us a beautiful example of authentic Greek **filoxenia**, and that is what made our time in Crete truly magical We would return without hesitation and wholeheartedly recommend Galazia Beach Resort to anyone visiting Crete

“A stressful end to a holiday became the best!!”

I just want to say a huge thank you to George for this stay!! Our flight got cancelled due to the air traffic issues back to the UK and Tui put me my partner and 14 year old up for one night here we had stayed in Stalis for our holiday. On arrival at 2.30am we were tired, over stimulated and just couldn’t wait to sleep. George was waiting with sandwiches and bottled water incase we were hungry and offered to order food in for anyone who wanted something (we were not the only family with cancelled flights). We got put into a room with a balcony that leads into the pool, a swim up bungalow room it was out this world stunning, he then showed us how to use lights, aircon, kitchenette, he couldn’t do enough for us. We woke had walk along the strip which to our surprise was beautiful, we then had breakfast for free back in the hotel and it was 5 star quality absolutely perfect overlooking the ocean. We had clean towels for around the pool so we could enjoy the last day as we had a late flight home. The staff made sure we had everything we needed to have a lovely day, our cases kept in the luggage room and checked on us throughout the day, We had clean towels for showers. Throughout the day George made sure we were relaxed and not stressed as we hadn’t heard off Tui for transfers so George rang and got the coach booked for our transfer, he also got us to order starters main meals and pudding for free before our flight home he sat us down in the day and went through everything! Without him it would have been a different experience. we ate in the restaurant attached to the hotel and it was breathtaking there was a sax player on and the lighting was stunning setting the perfect vibe. We were so surprised when the food came there was so much to eat and the quality was 10/10! when the coach came George carried all our luggage without asking him. We landed yesterday and have booked to go back here and stay next August 27th we loved it so much! Just thank you to all the staff and George you made a stressful situation or best day!! See you next year all booked up and can’t wait from Paul and Franchesca!!!
