Arkoudillas Beach and Monastery

For a touch of culture, head to the southern end of Kavos to see the beautiful Arkoudillas Beach and Monastery; both of which are not to be missed. Arkoudillas Beach is calmer, quieter and perfect for a quick escape from the madness of central Kavos. Get comfortable under straw parasols and relax on sun loungers before taking a dip in the cool blue waters.

Up an isolated dirt track is the ancient monastery. It holds picturesque views of the majestic cliffs and calm sea that glistens towards Paxos. The traditional monastery is decrepit and decaying but makes for fantastic photo opportunities. Explore the surrounding area and take a stroll down the nature walk, through the lush greenery and back down for more relaxation on the beach.
