Fantastic honeymoon at Ikos Dassia - would highly recommend

Jun 2022 | Jennifer B

We recently spent ten days at Ikos Dassia for our postponed honeymoon - the stay was everything we'd hoped for and more. This is our third trip to this resport and we found there to still be fantastic facilities, staff, food and weather. Special mention to Sarka, Simon and Georgia (at the pool/beach bars) as well as Athena at Kerkyra (and all the staff there - our favourite restaurant!), Anastasios the resident Sommelier, Gogo at the sunrise Yoga and Nikos at the Water Aerobics. We can't recommend it here enough, the complimentary 'Dinner on the Beach' was a real highlight to help us celebrate in style - thank you Ikos Dassia, we will be back!

Still as great as we remember

Jun 2022 | MrFood-MsWine

This is our third visit to Dassia (stayed twice in 2018). I may not remember all the names of all the wonderful people that made our stay to be a wonderful one as it has been the previous 2 times. I would also advise any reader to refer to my previous review on this hotel that goes in to plenty of detail. That being said, a lot of what I mentioned there still stands at the resort. So I'll only speak about the experience overall this time round and a new surprises we discovered. COVID doesn't appear to have affected this resort in any major way. They've paid close attention to safety measures (masks on, hand sanitiser, etc.) throughout - but you can't help but feel bad for the people working extremely long hours with a mask on all day. New restaurant - Grill House. This place was a genuine surprise. I honestly had lower expectations for this kind of restaurant there. Boy, was I wrong - we booked only once, but ended up going two more times. Excellent service as always. All dishes excellent (the burger isn't all that great though - have the other stuff). Wine sommelier - Anastasios. Very knowledgeable and kind individual who knew his wines. Hit the mark most of the time with any recommendations he made towards our tastes. He even gave us a couple of special bottles of wine for us to take back home, which was greatly appreciated. Provence has put in some new dishes well worth a try since our last visit. Having remembered our exceptional service from 2018 - Alexandra has since been promoted to manager of the restaurant. Well deserved. She runs the restaurant like a well oiled machine. A pleasure to see her again and to see she's doing well. Kerkyra - I think we passed through this restaurant last time for lunch and I wasn't all that impressed with the food compared to the other restaurants. This time round though, it was excellent. The lamb is top notch. A wonderful beachfront view in a wide-open dining area during a sunny afternoon is very pleasant. Highly recommend. I can't recall perfectly but it may have been Thalia that provided great service and kindness throughout. Katerina Vareli - we've known Katerina since our first visit. And she would often come check on us throughout our stay to ensure that everything was going smoothly. She serves as one of the prime examples of kindness and generosity in the resort that everyone can learn from and appreciate. We thank her (again) for making our stay a special one. Apostolos - the guest relations supervisor that served as our personal concierge. Apostolos was also very kind and attentive to our needs throughout our stay. He texted me at least once per day to see if everything was in order. He was able to make changes on short notice for us and guide us when we needed some help. I appreciated his responsiveness and support.

Faultless family stay

Just returned from a brilliant 10 night stay at Ikos Dassia! Everything you need for a 5* family holiday, excellent and clean rooms, vast choice and high quality of food and attentive and friendly staff. Particular mention to Apostolos who was our dedicated concierge for the stay and ensured our holiday ran smoothly. We are already looking to rebook for another 10 night stay in September.
