Right in the heart of Playa de las Américas in Tenerife, Las Piramides Resort is perfect for those seeking a party pad close to Veronicas Strip. And despite its lively location, the hotel’s daytime atmosphere is quite the opposite. You’ll be thankful for its chilled poolsides after a big night in town. Surrounded by a row of loungers, spend lazy days by its curvy number or hit its roomy rectangle option for a late-afternoon dip.

Those staying here on an all-inclusive basis, can enjoy three delicious meals a day at the onsite buffet spot. Early-risers can grab breakfast from 8am till 10am, and if you can’t drag yourself out of bed, lunch is served between 1pm and 3pm. On an evening, take your pick from a range of hot dishes including paella alongside pasta and succulent meats. Alternatively, you can curb your cravings at the pool bar. Pick up a selection of tasty snacks from sandwiches to pizzas and ice cream as well as alcoholic and soft drinks. There’s also a lobby and lounge bar whipping up cocktails and coffees.

In terms of facilities, little guests will love meeting fellow mini travellers at the outdoor play area, while teens will make a beeline for the pool table. You may be just steps away from the resort’s pumping nightlife, but if you choose to spend your evenings at the hotel, there’s bingo and karaoke sessions to keep you entertained.

You’ll have plenty of space to yourself too. From studios to apartments, all rooms come complete with a kitchenette, microwave and fridge, seating area with a flat screen TV, balcony and bath or shower. Plus with an onsite supermarket, self catering guests won’t have to wander far to pick up some groceries. Families looking for a little extra space may prefer to stay in one of the two bedroom apartments, which sleep a maximum of six guests. If you can’t live without your devices, Wi-Fi is also available but this will incur an extra cost and can be purchased at reception.

Need a change of scenery for your sunbathing stints? The sandy Playa de Troya Beach is just a five-minute stroll from the hotel. Home to a windsurfing school, there’s plenty of watersports to try out when you’re not laid horizontal. For even more island fun, you’re just a short drive from Siam Park’s famous wet rides, while Mount Teide’s high-altitude adventures can be reached in just 20 minutes by car.

Dunno why people complain lol

We have just arrived back from a lovely holiday okay the hotel is dated but everything else was perfect. Clean pool/ rooms, friendly staff, close to the beach shops and bars, always music round the pool (which I love) the rep was a laugh…”ooot ooot”Okay you get your groups of loud excited people but you get that everywhere. The food was alright there was always something I could have even tho I don’t like a lot of meat…The ice cream was the best and the pastries. Didn’t get the young lads name but he worked in the restaurant he was so sweet and always made you feel welcome. All in all me and my other half had a lovely time away and the hotel was great.

Pleasantly surprised

Me and my husband booked to stay here for a week for the first week of May. After reading the reviews I was nervous about our stay, however we needn’t have been. I felt like I had to leave a positive review to put peoples minds at ease. Ok the rooms are basic, but clean. We had two single beds but we pushed them together so we had one massive bed which were firm but comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen as we wanted to eat out, but should you wish to cook, you had basic amenities to do so. We paid for the tv, which was 20 euros but we got that reimbursed when we checked out. We also hired an iron and the safe which again was refunded when we returned the items (minus cost of safe hire which was 15 euro I think) The friendly mains cleaned our room daily, left fresh towels and changed the sheets. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, the foyer was always spotless and the shop that was in the hotel sold everything you could need. Location wise; we couldn’t have asked for anything more. We booked self catering as we knew we wanted to go and explore, the hotel is central to everywhere we wanted to go. Just pack some earplugs for the night time as you can hear the clubs and bars pumping music until 5am. Also there is no air conditioning in the room, but you can hire a fan. However we had a good nights sleep every night. ☺️ The pool area was lively, music playing all day, everyone having a good time. Gotta mention the life guards who are constantly sweeping away the water off the side of the pool so people don’t slip We never struggled for sun beds, and we were allowed to take our own drinks around the pool, they just ask that you are discreet and don’t use glass bottles which is just common sense really. We paid £500 for both us to stay here which included flights luggage and transfers. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, we weren’t expecting luxury. I read reviews comparing it to prison which I think is really unfair. Overall we had a brilliant time at Los piramides, we would return. ☀️

OK for groups who like drinking lots

We booked here as it was cheap n cheerful and at first was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are lovely and big and clean and have a kettle and a microwave and a big fridge which was a plus as we were All Inclusive. FOOD: Breakfast was nice, fruit, pastries and a full English. Lunch was OK. Not much choice. Never went for an evening meal as it was very very cheap to eat out in nicer surroundings by the beach. Snacks were AWFUL. if you miss breakfast it's a hot dog or cardboard sandwich in celowrap. Afternoon tea is croissants and buns. Drinks were alright. No Spanish version of tia Maria and the cocktails were the worst I've ever tasted and I holiday a lot. We liked the pool vibe at first however really got annoying after 2 days and we went to the beach. The pool was loud and had 50s and 60s music on repeat for hours. However when asked to change it they did. Basically full of people getting beered up and lairy and smoking pot. I didn't mind at first but in small doses as it wore thin. No entertainment at all. However as we were leaving saw signs up for their summer animation program so from May 1st you may be in luck. Visited Siam Park which was 5 euros in a cab from the hotel and went to Otelo 1 in the Adeje Hills which is a little laid back canarian chicken shack. The beaches were lovely and we preferred it there to the pool..... We will come back to Las Americas but not AI as its very cheap to eat out and not to this hotel as there are better bases around.
