The hotel Platinum Hotel and Casino Bansko is around 170 km from Sofia. The tourist centre is about 1 km away. The nearest shopping facilities are located approx. 500 m from the hotel, a supermarket can be reached after around 200 m. It is only 100 m from the hotel to the nearest bars and restaurants. For evening dancing you will find a nightclub in a distance of approx. 500 m. For mobility there is a car rental company. For medical treatment in emergencies there is a hospital around 2 km away. The airport (SOF) is approx. 170 km away. Another airport (PDV) is located approx. 175 km away. There is a shuttle to The Gondola Lift (for free).

The 5-storey ski hotel has 143 rooms. It is equipped with a 24h reception (check-in from 15:00, check-out until 12:00), a lobby with bar, 3 lifts, a safe (for free), a coiffeur, a shop, casino (open from 00:00 - 00:00), a parking area (for a fee) as well as a money changing facility. For the meals, there are two restaurants. You will be warmly welcomed in both the hotel's bars. WiFi is available for free. For guests with physical disabilities the hotel has a wheelchair accessible lift and a number of wheelchair accessible bathrooms. Room cleaning is free of charge. Room service, laundry / ironing service and medical service are available for a fee.

“A Convenient Base for a Ski Holiday, with Some Drawbacks”

Platinum Hotel & Casino is a practical option for a ski holiday in Bansko. It offers convenient access to the gondola, decent food and some pleasant facilities, although there are a few drawbacks worth knowing about before booking. Both breakfast and dinner were generally good, with a reasonable variety of options. At breakfast, freshly prepared omelettes are cooked to order in a pan, which is a nice touch. Overall, the food was enjoyable, although it was not a particular highlight of our stay. The hotel has a pleasant, heated indoor swimming pool. While it is not a particularly special attraction, it is a comfortable place to relax and spend time with friends after a day on the slopes. The hotel also offers spa treatments, and it gives the impression that these services are taken seriously. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the gondola and also provides shuttle services to and from it. This is convenient, especially when carrying ski equipment. One notable drawback for skiers and snowboarders is that the hotel does not provide a ski room as part of the accommodation. If you do not use the paid ski-storage facility at the hotel entrance, you need to take your equipment up to your room after removing as much snow as possible at the entrance. Inevitably, some of the remaining snow melts indoors and can leave puddles on the floor. I dealt with this by leaving my equipment near the small balcony so that the melting snow could drain outside. There is a paid ski-storage facility at the hotel entrance, operated by the ski equipment rental shop located inside the hotel. This is a useful alternative for guests who prefer not to bring their equipment back to their rooms every day. The room was clean and comfortable, with adequate storage space in both the wardrobe and drawers. The furniture is rather dated, but the room was practical for our stay. The bathroom has a bathtub, and its fittings also feel somewhat dated. During busy periods, the shower water pressure was weak, which was inconvenient. There is a casino in the hotel, but I did not use it, so I cannot comment on it. Overall, Platinum Hotel & Casino is a convenient and practical base for a ski holiday in Bansko. The location near the gondola, the shuttle service, the decent food and the heated indoor pool are all positives. However, the lack of ski storage included with the hotel stay and the weak shower water pressure during busy periods detract from the overall experience. The dated bathroom fittings are another minor drawback. Taken together, these factors make the hotel a reasonable option for a ski trip, but the overall experience was average rather than exceptional.

“Disappointing Spa Experience”

I recently visited the hotel spa with a friend as external guests. We paid a very reasonable fee for access to the facilities, and initially we were pleased with the affordability. However, upon entering the spa area, our first impressions were disappointing. Near the pool, there was an open storage-like room visible to guests, where dead worms could clearly be seen. This was quite unpleasant and certainly not in line with the standards one would expect from a hotel spa environment. Additionally, the lifeguard appeared to be either asleep or fully absorbed in his mobile phone, which did not create a sense of attentiveness or professionalism. The background music in the spa area was more suited to a bar atmosphere rather than a relaxing wellness setting. I decided to book a classic massage for €55, again a very affordable price. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a significant disappointment. I was taken to a treatment room without heating while still wearing my wet swimsuit, as disposable undergarments were not provided. This made the experience uncomfortable from the start. Although the therapist was very polite, she appeared to lack proper training. Regrettably, this was the worst massage experience I have ever had. The movements were extremely fast and did not promote relaxation. The technique felt very superficial; when I requested more pressure, instead of working into the muscles, it felt as though only the skin was being pushed. I considered ending the session early but chose not to, as I did not want to embarrass the therapist. After the treatment ended, I felt completely overlooked. There was no follow-up or opportunity to provide feedback, as no one at reception acknowledged me. Once the payment was completed(in advance),it felt as though the customer experience had ended. In my opinion, this does not reflect true hospitality. I am not someone who asks for compensation or frequently writes negative reviews. However, when a service is offered for a fee, a basic level of care, professionalism, and genuine interest in the guest experience should be expected. Unfortunately, this is the first time I have truly felt that my money was wasted.

“Best board instructor!”

If you are looking for a snowboard instructor, Marian Papakoca is the guy. Perfect teacher, even better as a buddy. He made us stand up and drive on our own in just a few hours. Absolutely great guy! The casino here is also nice, a little bit small but cozy.

“Excellent si”

I stayed in the Platinum Hotel with my friends end of December this year. The service at the hotel was nice, the staff was friendly and ready to help, rooms clean, equiped with necessary things, bathrobes for the pool and stuff...I had a hot stone massage at the Spa with Yulia, great massage.. Also had two snowboard lessons with an instructor from the hotel's Ski rent named Marjan, great guy and instructor, took me from absolute beginner to being totally confident on the blue slopes in just two days.. Last but not least there is a shuttle service from the hotel and back every 20 minutes that takes the guests to the Bottom Station We were fortunate that we came at a not that busy period of the season that the queues at the gondola were small and never waited more than 15 min at the morning Very recommend...

“Recommendation on a snowboard instructor”

My friend and I rent from the ski store in the hotel equipment and we took Mace as an instructor for three days, he was one of the best that I have had! Professional and patient guy that took us to another level in snowboarding!
