“Not great”

Went to this hotel after going a couple of years ago as it was nice back in 2024 It was a lot different this time around. Very noisy, doors slamming all hours of the night/morning and footsteps all around the hotel Breakfast was very basic, so not a lot to choose from. The pool was green for the first 2 days we got there, then some chemicals had been put in but the walls and the floor was still green with algae and slippery, so the pool was a no go for the days we was there. The bathroom kept getting a lot of drain flies in it that we kept swatting. I’d asked to borrow an iron, they said I could us e the one in the laundry room, so went and got my stuff to Iron, as I was leaving the laundry my ankles started itching a lot, like a lot, I never noticed anything while I was in there but the next morning my ankles and up my legs was covered in bites, about 25 bites!! defo not mozzy bites so not sure what had bitten me though. All in need of an upgrade I would say at this hotel Will not be coming back unfortunately

“Lovely comfortable hotel”

comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and great views of the beautiful coastline. Buffet breakfast had a generous range of food. Great location with restaurants and bars nearby.

“Much better than I expected”

I wasn't sure about this place as I didn't want 3 star and I had seen some of the reviews but my friend wanted to book it so I went along with some reservations. Was I pleasantly surprised! The hotel was lovely, the rooms were kept spotless, the views were amazing and it was just a few steps onto the beach. What sets the hotel apart from many of the others is the location and the trees which give the place a tropical feel. Some of the staff were particularly nice without being over ingratiating. I would 100% stay there again. I can be very critical so this is saying something. There were a few negatives, I found one of the bar tenders difficult to deal with. It was about 10:30pm at night and I wanted a hot drink (recommend bringing your own travel kettle if you want to make hot drinks). I went down to the reception to ask if I could just have an empty cup. The receptionist told me to ask the bar tender for one. I duly did this and he looked at me as though I had just crawled out from under a rock! He refused to help me and told me he was closing. I could see an empty cup on the shelf behind him and kept pointing to it but he wouldn't have it. I had to go and ask the receptionist again! I appreciate that I can't speak Spanish and maybe the bartender couldn't understand me but in that situation, if it had been me, I would have gone and got the receptionist to explain to me. His attitude was pretty bad. The other negative was one evening and the following morning the shower was cold. I went down to speak to one of the receptionists about it, she checked the boiler and told me that it should be hot and that I just needed to leave the water running for a few minutes. I insisted to her that I had and that I had actually ended up having a shower in it and it was cold all the way through. She wouldn't have it so I went back upstairs to try it again. I left it a few minutes and it was still cold, I went back down to tell her but she still wouldn't have it. I got her to come back up and feel it for herself but she still kept on insisting it was getting hotter (it wasn't). She then told me that the rain from the previous night had affected the pipes. This is fair enough but why didn't she just say that in the first place and offered me a free drink or something. That would have been better Customer Service. Anyway, more positives, two of the ladies behind the reception were very helpful. The black (maybe mixed race) was very helpful, with a pleasant smile. The cocktails were better than good and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean. The entertainment was really good (not tacky like it is sometimes) and the people staying there were friendly). To add to this, there were no screaming children in the pool. I can see this hotel being a 4* one day. Denise (Leamington Spa)

“Amazing hotel”

This hotel was lovely, Right on the beach on a quiet location. The staff were all lovely and friendly. Our room was at the side but still overlooking the sea. The price was very reasonable with breakfast included. It was about 20 minute walk to Cafe mambo and about 8 minutes to Oceon beach. If you go out to the left of the hotel and walk right along the beach you can get the water taxi across to the other side for €5 and if you continue walking you get to Reggae reggae beach where you can get the most amazing cocktails with Reggae music playing in the background. The only thing I could say bad about the hotel is you don’t get a kettle in your room so I would advice to bring a travel one if you like a tea or coffee when you wake up. There is a fridge in the room to keep drinks in.
