Hong Kong Arts Festival: The month-long festival in February/March includes dance and theatre productions and opera and orchestra performances. There are also ethnic music and art exhibitions.
Dragon boat races (Tuen Ng Festival): An ancient Chinese custom, dragon boat races, held in May and/or June, are a big event in Hong Kong. The long, narrow and brightly painted boats row to the beat of drums while spectators look on.
Hong Kong Sevens rugby tournament: The tournament, held in April, is popular all over the world and sees 20 teams from countries across the globe competing for the cup.

With an average low of 16 (°C) at the peak of winter, there is never a bad time to visit Hong Kong. Come in the summer for glorious highs of 31 (°C), but bear in mind that this is the wettest season, so you may want to come prepared with a brolly. The rain decreases significantly throughout the autumn, but the weather stays warm, hovering in the 20s throughout the season. The showers lessen even more from December to February before picking up again at the start of spring.
