How do I check-in for my British Airways flight?

You’ll find the link to the British Airways website below, but you may want to read our check-in guide first.
Before you get started, make sure you have the following handy:
-
Your flight reference from your invoice/confirmation. This is not your Thomas Cook booking reference and can be found on the ‘flights’ section of your Thomas Cook invoice labelled ‘airline reference’ or ‘flight booking number’ (see the examples below). The reference is a random selection of numbers and letters (or just letters) in any order. If you're having trouble using your airline reference on the airline’s website, please double-check you’re using the right letters and numbers, as the letters ‘I, O and Z’ can look like the numbers ‘1, 0 and 2’.
Or:
- Your passport details.
You can check in online for British Airways from 24 hours before you’re due to depart. Check-in closes 1 hour before departure for most destinations – apart from the USA, which closes 2 hours before. Remember to check in for your return flight too!
Check in
- Go to the British Airways website using the link below and you’ll see this check-in screen:
- Enter your details – your 'Booking reference' (this is your ‘Airline reference’ as shown above) and your surname
- Add your passport details
- Add any flight extras. Special dietary requests and Advance Passenger Information (API) can be added any time before you check in
- Print or download your boarding card
