Weather in Andalusia
Andalusia is in the Costa del Sol region in the south of Spain. The region is also known as the “sunshine coast” and is drenched in sun and high temperatures for most of the year.
The best time to go to Andalusia is in the summer for warm temperatures and perfect weather for lazy days on the beach or hiking through the mountains. Average temperatures rarely fall below 21°C and there are 14 hours of sunshine per day.
Andalusia’s position on the coast means that it’s in the path of trade winds blowing in from the sea. The winds travel at 6mph and bring a refreshing break from the heat and humidity, which can be quite high in the summer.
For cooler temperatures and fewer crowds, the best time to visit Andalusia is in the spring or autumn. There’s less sunshine than the summer, but it’s still very warm and sunny with not much chance of rain.
