    Vilamoura weather February

What's the weather like in Vilamoura in February?

Vilamoura is a popular beach destination in Portugal’s Algarve region, with a Mediterranean climate bringing long, hot summers and short, mild winters to the resort. Although it’s still winter in February, you can expect plenty of warm weather and sunshine if you visit Vilamoura this month. It’s one of the wettest months of the year, though, so it’s a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella to keep dry. If you want to avoid the high season crowds and heat of summer, February is a good month to go on holiday to Vilamoura.

The average temperature in Vilamoura at this time of year’s 13ºC, rising to a pleasant high of 17ºC in the warmest part of the afternoon. Although it’s t-shirt weather during the day, you’ll need some warmer things for evenings out in the resort, as temperatures drop to lows of 8ºC at night. Around 70mm of rain’s expected over five wet days in February, with showers likely to be short and sharp. If you want to go for a swim in the sea, you’ll need to be brave as the Atlantic waters are a cool 15ºC this month.
