    Carvoeiro weather January

What’s the weather like in Carvoeiro in January?

Escape the cold weather back home for milder temperatures and lots of beautiful sunshine on a daily basis. Carvoeiro weather in January isn’t as warm as the summer, but the resort still enjoys pleasant weather with some rain scattered throughout the month.

    Geographical influences

Located in the south of Portugal, Carvoeiro overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and greets regular winds coming in from the sea. The winds tend to be quite chilly in January, so make sure to take some extra layers with you when you’re out exploring the resort at night. The water is quite mild but may be too cold for swimming or taking part in water sports.

It’s one of the coldest months of the year, but temperatures are still very mild with highs of 16°C. 10mph winds come in from the Atlantic and help control humidity levels from rising too far above 73%. There’s 30mm of rainfall spread over the month, which has decreased from last month. You’ll have nine hours of sunshine per day, which is less than the summer but still enough time for getting around the resort and exploring other destinations in the Algarve.
