Weather in Agadir

Agadir is located on the southern coast of Morocco and enjoys the same hot climate throughout the year. The best time to visit is in spring or autumn when the weather has cooled to more enjoyable temperatures. Agadir is set beneath the Anti-Atlas Mountains, which helps cool down the region. This happens when rain falls on the mountains, giving Agadir a pleasant break from the summer heat. High season falls from May to November, which is when temperatures are at their highest. They peak at 26°C in July, which is perfect for a classic summer holiday. On warmer days, temperatures can reach highs of 30°C with nightly lows of around 18°C. Winds blowing in from the Sahara Desert often find their way to Agadir. Instead of cooling the weather down, these warm winds bring hotter temperatures, reaching up to the mid-40s on occasion. Heat waves can also become a problem, especially if you’re not a fan of the heat. For cooler weather, the best time to go to Agadir is autumn or spring. Rainfall is very minimal in Agadir. It rarely rains in the summer and December is the wettest month. The average rainfall is around 63mm. Showers are short and heavy, so make sure to bring an umbrella and raincoat if you’re planning a winter holiday.
