What’s the weather like in the Maldives in November?
Sitting in the Indian Ocean, southwest of Sri Lanka and India, the Maldives has warm weather all year round. Temperatures hardly change, although the amount of rain does. The wet season’s from May to October, although you’ll still get rain in November as well as plenty of sunshine. You’ll have less rain in the north than the south due to the direction of the south westerly monsoon winds, while winds calm down as the wet season turns into the dry season.
The average high in the capital, Malé, is 30ºC in November, which only falls to 25ºC at night so you won’t need to bring many warm clothes. The sea temperature’s 28ºC, so it’s lovely and warm for swimming, while humidity’s high. There’s 192mm of rain over 14 days, and you can expect 12 hours of daylight with six hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be extreme so don’t forget to take sun cream. The sun sets just before 6pm.
