    Maldives weather June

What's the weather like in the Maldives in June?

The Maldives sit in the Indian Ocean, southwest of Sri Lanka and India. This means the island chain has warm weather all year round. Temperatures don't change much, although the amount of rain does. The rainy season’s from May to October, making June one of the wettest months. You'll still get lots of sun at this time though, as showers are often quick. You'll get less rain in the north due to the south westerly monsoon winds, while winds are stronger in the wet season. There’s also higher humidity at this time.

    Averages

The average high in capital Malé is 30ºC in June, so you can look forward to plenty of sunshine and warmth. Things stay pleasant in the evenings too with temperatures only dropping to 26ºC.  The sea temperature’s also lovely and warm at 29ºC, while humidity’s very high. Average rainfall’s 183mm over 14 rainy days, although you can still expect 12 hours of daylight with seven hours of sunshine each day. UV levels will be extreme so use sun cream. The sun goes down around 6.15pm.
