Weather in Heraklion

Heraklion is positioned on the north coast of Crete, which is one of the most popular Greek Islands. It enjoys a warm, Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. January is the coldest month of the year with an average low of just 9°C. The wettest time to visit is December. The average sea temperature is 26°C in the summer before lowering to 16°C in February.
