Unlike many other travel companies we operate on a trust account model. Once we’ve paid the airline for your flights, the rest of your money is held in a trust account. We do not have access to this directly and can only withdraw funds when you are back home from holiday

What’s the weather like in Lapland in August?

It’s much warmer in August than the winter months and there’s no chance of snow as the temperatures are too high. However, Lapland weather in August will start to get cooler towards the end of the month when snow falls over the higher peaks.

Geographical influences

Lapland is in the northernmost region of Finland in the Arctic Circle. It has a cold subarctic and continental climate that’s quite mild in summer. The North Atlantic Current in the Arctic Sea has a warming effect on the region, helping to keep temperatures warm and enjoyable in August. There’s some rainfall over the month, so a waterproof jacket is necessary as well as layers for the cooler weather that arrives overnight.
